When I was on WW a few years ago, my weight loss was all over the place, 1lb here 1/2lb there, I was really disappointed for the first couple of weeks, then I realised I have a couple of small losses then a bigger one then small again, so things even out over a month. IN the words of Joe Jackson, 'don't you know its different for girls'
Exactly and that's why I'm remaining positive as it will equal out over the month :cross:

Still waiting for MrG as I've my PayPal account at the ready.

Well done rawr-xoxo that is amazing o/

Menu of the day:
Special K and black coffee (300 calories - 30gm looks like nothing hence I have 45gm thus more calories than on side of packet)
Ham salad sandwich followed by blueberries and natural yoghurt. (400 calories) now addicted to akh43's bread
Weight Watchers cheese and onion quiche and salad followed by strawberries and grapes (400 calories)
I may have salad dressing etc so will have the extra 100 calories throughout the day.

Working until 7 so not sure re exercise and time.

Have a happy and healthy day o/

:GazesGloomilyThroughWindowToTorrentialDownpourOutside:

Hmmm - The day of the 8 mile walk. The one that I've been looking forward to completing "no matter what the weather is doing".......

........Yes, fine words indeed. Uttered in a moment of contemptuous bravado, they come back to haunt me now.

To "bottle out" or "not to bottle out" that is the question. What would the "other" ;) great adventurists do in circumstances such as these?

I can't imagine Captain Oates saying to Scott 'I am just going outside and may be some time........Oh no hang on, it's raining a bit'

Ah well - There's no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate clothing! Now where is my Barbour jacket and those rather fetching waterproof overtrousers?

Be seeing you! o/

DRINK MORE WATER - YOU REALLY REALLY OUGHTA!
THE MORE YOU DRINK THE MORE YOU SHRINK!!

Like those - here is one I made up as I find true

DRINK MORE WATER INSTEAD OF TEA - THE MORE YOU DRINK THE MORE YOU PEE!!!!

"Lurking" on here for inspiration as I have to seriously lose weight. Just started last week and have lost 1lb. as I have cut down on carbs. Read a lot about it and realised I was having cereal and toast for breakfast, sandwich with two slices of bread for lunch and one course evening meal which always had potatoes, pasta or rice. All starch so changing breakfast and lunch and cutting down on portion size of potatoes etc. :cross:

Avoid carbs in the evening. You'd better eat it for lunch and have soup, salad, vegetables in the evening (as much as you want!)

Good luck from me, too, Biggins, and I think tweaking your food intake (which is how I prefer to think of it, rather than talking in terms of "diet") is absolutely the right way to go.

I could always eat more healthily and given that my priority in life is walking, and I realised that I was probably still eating as though I were doing as much as usual when in fact the weather has prevented me, hence I needed to make some adjustments. Also, of course, eating more of the right things should p*y off in terms of energy and stamina when I am able to get out again.

The latest of these is to start making my own fresh fruit smoothies/milk shakes (I like them dairy-based) at least on days when I'm at home, rather than b*ying so many Yoplaits. So I've invested in a good stock of bananas, blueberries and strawberries and am looking forward to the first one later, after my trip to the dentist!
