LOL, he obviously never goes to free screenings where you get to keep the 3D glasses for free for further use.

Re: Avengers Assemble
God, I've seen Charlie Brooker on 10 O'Clock Live and he usually comes off as quite a funny guy but in this article he sounds like bitter old fart who needs to be checked into an old age home ASAP.

Re: Avengers Assemble
Saw this a second time with OH using 3D vouchers. Still love it and my one of my favourite films of the year so far. After watching the film OH mentions how it was good to have seen Captain America and Thor before but would had liked to seen The Hulk. At which point I said "What about Iron Man?" Apparently she didn't realise which Marvel character Robert Downey Jr was all during the film.

Love that film! In fact love it so much I went to see it twice in 48h! Mind you - HUGE Marvel fan and one of Joss Whedon's BIGGEST FANS
So I guess it would take a lot to put me off...

Re: Avengers Assemble
yeah I plan on three viewings at least lol. I was stupid enough to miss IMAX Thor and Iron Man, not going to make the same mistake again.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
Re: Avengers Assemble
Just went to see this and thought it was great. Was a little concerned with that many heroes it would take away from it a bit. Finally managed to do a good job with hulk/Bruce banner story. Good to finally see Samuel L get some proper airtime

Re: Avengers Assemble
its brilliant how Josh used the number of heroes to good effect in the movie. He even did a great job with Hawkeye, who lets face it is a shitty little unnecessary character.
OMG this rocked at the IMAX. I think its my new number one Superhero movie, maybe.
I also find it amusing that my brother totally digs the directorial style of AA, but still slags off Buffy (from which Whedon lifted many of the best gags and style from). I dont think hes actually watched Buffy or realised they have the same director lol, he says its for 7 year olds lool.
