I think that I still have that other persons thighs attached to mine :noo:

Menu of the day:
Fruit and Fibre with semi-skimmed milk and a black coffee (300 calories)
Garlic sausage salad sandwich on 2 small slices of granary bread, extra tomatoes, an apple and a weigh watchers yoghurt (350 calories)
Out for coffee and cakes as its treat day I will have 2 cups of black coffee (30 calories I think) and I'm guessing but I don't know (as I can't really take my scales with me- its OK amongst friends admitting my love for weighing things but in a coffee shop they will know that I have gone mad) about 800 calories for a generous slice of cake. (approx 1500 calories for the day as I don't have a meal with the cake)

No exercise for me today as meeting for coffee and cakes straight from work, then straight onto the cinema (12 miles as going home to pick up daughter) then onto Tesco's. I will make up for it over the weekend.

Good luck everyone else today.

I'm not going to say which bits of that other person I've ended up with - but if you read my previous post I think you may guess! ;)

I'm surprisingly un-sore today - I was expecting to feel some aches and pains after yesterday but I'm fine so will be doing sessions on both the rower and exercise bike today. I must be getting more used to this exercise malarkey.

I've decided to cut out black coffee from my diet, at least for a while. I drink loads of water at the moment so will be drinking even more now to compensate. I'm determined to keep really well hydrated to try and minimise the chances of the scary "loose skin" phenomenon. Reducing my caffeine intake can only be beneficial according to what I’ve been reading ”loose skin-wise” on-line.

I'm also looking at utube for upper body workouts following Diane's comments. Thanks also for the suggestions regarding Nordic Walking from both MsT and Diane. Funnily enough yesterday I had suggested to my mate that we should maybe try and incorporate this into our regime after a Nordic walker went polling by as we were eating lunch. I can't repeat most of what my mate said here  but after I'd extolled the virtues of it, he finished with something like ......"I'd only ever be comfortable doing that if I was by myself on my own property and completely out of sight".

I must admit if I ever was brave enough to try it out in public, I'd have to have at least one other person with me doing it too, to feel anywhere near comfortable with it. I don't doubt that its brilliant exercise but it does look decidedly odd and seems to draw the most bizarre looks and comments from all and sundry. Having said that I could probably go for it out in the quiet countryside much better than along the busy seafront location where we were yesterday.

Today's Menu

1) Two Weetabix with green grapes (returned home uneaten from daughter's packed lunch yesterday :wall: ) and fresh pineapple (left over from prepping daughter's packed lunch today - no doubt the rest will come back tonight uneaten  ) and semi-skimmed milk.

2) Half a can of Chickpea Dhal nuked then poured over steamed cauliflower, broccoli florets and carrot batons.

3) Corn on the cob with tiny smidge of olive oil. (no butter in my life now, ever!) Small side salad: Watercress, rocket, red/green/yellow peppers, celery, black and green olives, tomatoes, cottage cheese.

4) Fresh Tuna steak with noodles and sweet chilli sauce.

5) Pot of Earl Grey tea with slice of lemon. Toast with meagre scraping of pork liver and apricot pâté

Good luck with whatever you are up to today people. Go for a walk at lunchtime if you are office-bound. Don't just sit at your desk and keep working. You deserve, and need, a break and a change of scenery! :D

On their deathbed, no-one ever thinks "Oh how I wish that I'd worked a bit harder!" :P

Oh - almost forgot! Thanks for the sensible suggestion re seeing the Doc, Anakin. We've quite regularly discussed my need for exercise - on my next visit it's sure to come up again especially when he sees the weight I've lost in the last 6 weeks. o/

I'm not allowed out in my uniform and too warm to wear a coat but you've got me thinking I could bring my dumbbells to work as there is nothing to stop me using them at lunchtime, they came with a 9 minute workout leaflet. I never got around to b*ying the stretch bands that MrG suggested a while ago but I will get some so I've another lunchtime exercise I could be doing (when I know what I meant to be doing with them  - I've got visioned of catapulted various bits of my body all over the place).

I will have to read up on the caffeine bit and my loose skin - just got some on my triceps but don't want it anywhere at all 8O I do the Nordic walking in the countryside not on the streets.

I'm happy I'm avoiding this topic as, despite all the various salads and fruits I've eaten lately, I feel like I also have another person attached to my body!
I do a lot of exercise at work, running/walking for hours, going up and down the stairs several times a day (for those who don't know, the Albert Hall is a BIG building...), but I need to do some abs. My stomach is too flabby :p
MrG asked me to keep a goal in mind, which was a dress I really like, but I gave up on that as I can't wear it because of my boobs - which is what I NEVER EVER lose. So... new goal? Wearing whatever I like and looking good in it. I think that's the best goal I can have. :D

Well done on your weight lose diane65. o/ Now that I am home from my stay in the lovely hotel dread to think what will be the outcome tomorrow morning when I weigh myself.

Hotel was lovely set in acres of parkland so went a walk after we booked in but after that the heavens opened and it has been heavy rain since. Our room was really nice with modern glass fronted desk and bedside cabinets. Plus a huge queen size bed with lovely cushions.

My evening meal last night was Blue cheese and pear souffle with rocket and a few finely chopped walnuts which was scrummy. To follow had hot poached salmon and spinach with baby boiled potatoes. (Was a good girl and didn't eat all the potatoes!) followed by coffee and gave hubby my square of fudge that we got with it. We had a glass of wine included in the deal but had another as we sat in the lounge bar.

Breakfast this morning was too tempting so had a yoghurt then a plate with one sausage, one rasher of bacon and one fried egg and one slice of toast. Pot of tea.

This was a deal with Itison and we thought it was excellent value for £69 for the both of us!! Where could you get such a lovely DBB for £35 each!! All we pa*d extra for was our coffee and the extra wine.

Going to have a ham salad tonight to try and compensate for some of it and see what tomorrow brings. :cross:

ok I read Preston question about losing fat around focussed areas.

ok here us the lowdown about fat loss. You cannot EVER focus fatloss around parts of the body. When you lose the fat it is lost in a distributive manner, you cannot ever control where you want. But dont worry you will lose the fat everywhere, just be patient. You will no doubt notice some regions are probably slower than others. Its different for every individual but most commonly stubborn are the waist line and chest! But that will go down too and you know what, I think its a great thing for it to be the last because it drives us to complete the whole fat loss journey and so reach the ultimate reward of a streamline body. Dont forget we dont want to just lose our outer layer body fat, we also want to lose the internal body fat that suffucates the functions of our vital internal organs and arteries which later on in life will lead to suffering all kinds of illnesses.

So just keep up with cardio, balanced diet, and resistance work...check out the sparkpeople youtube channel. brilliant video workouts. In my next post I will talk about how you should schedule workouts to ensure your whole body is in balance and all muscle groups are getting workout. Remember resistance exercises (ie weights) is crucial to the fat loss journey and its not just for putting on muscles. Ill explain more and recommend you a program that complement your current activities. Check out the sparkpeople youtube videos though...and everyone else too. Sorry writjng on a mobile so forgive my messy post.

Yes, Diane those stretch bands are brilliant and cheap and can take anywhere with you. Ill try find some deals on them for everyone. Again the sparkpeople channel has some stretchband workouts too. A set of dumbbells are also great to have but obviously not so mobile.

Keep it up everyone!

Diane, you doing so superb, 1lb per 2weeks was always your style and its very healthy too. Just remember that was how you reached your target last time, you're nearly there again :)

Oh Preston, Anakin gave good advise (as the wise girl always do) about seeing your GP and checking and see if you can get to see a nutritionist for free. They are very valuable, I used to see one every 6 weeks during my journey...i pa*d £30 per session but you can probably get it free.

Good luck tomorrow Biggins o/ I'm amazed at how well you did when you were away in such a beautiful hotel especially at breakfast that takes some will power.

Why Oh Why could I see MrG's face when I was choosing my cake tonight? :noo: I even had "steve the snitch" (he kindly texted me re an early alert when I was eating my cake - a kind man but still a snitch ;) ) threatening to tell you all about my cake eating. :nono:
