Sunday 17th June - grear day out with the family.

On Sun 17 June, over 300 working farms all over the UK will open their gates to the public.

Expect to see activities like pig racing, scarecrow making, pond dipping and maybe some chicks hatching! Some guided tours and tractor rides will also be available at certain farms.

It's a great day out for Father's Day.

You can see if a local farm is participating using this Farm Finder.

Most are free to walk in, though some require you to book ahead and may charge a fee (£1.50-£5.00) or ask for a donation. So it's best to double check the Open Farm Sunday website and call ahead to check before you go. You may also need to check whether the event's still happening if there has been bad weather around the time.

What do I get? Entry to over 300 farms. Open Farm Sunday is an annual event, now in its seventh year, organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming). It aims to help you discover how farmers grow your food and look after the countryside.

The detail: Remember to take wellies and a sun hat if it's warm!

Take to the streets at the 2012 Marylebone Summer Fayre and enjoy live music, craft stalls, fresh food, activities for kids and much more.

Summer shopping
Marylebone High Street will be thriving with a lively atmosphere and closed off to traffic for the 2012 fair. Pedestrians can roam and browse throughout the day, making the most of what the Marylebone Summer Fayre has to offer. Some of the local area's most popular retailers and restaurants will be bringing their wares out onto the streets for the village fair, creating a bustling festival atmosphere in the centre of Marylebone.

Zones of fun
This year's Marylebone Summer Fayre will have different zones with different events going on in each. The Orange Zone looks set to be a lot of fun for the kids with fairground rides and vintage police cars being just some of the attractions on offer. The Blue Zone in Paddington Street Gardens boasts live music as well as plenty of alfresco dining and drinking spots, while the Pink Zone hosts a farmers' market and street stalls full to the brim with seasonal, local produce.

A family day out
A range of activities will be available for children to enjoy including face painting and fairground rides. Families can enjoy a full day out at the Marylebone Summer Fayre, which also features a programme of live music. Proceeds from the Fayre will be donated to the charity partner, Kids Company.

All the fun of the fair
Other special events and attractions include a salsa dance area along New Cavendish Street and a relaxing spa area in front of the Hellenic Centre. Meanwhile, the Purple Zone on North Marylebone High Street is playing host to the Cabbages and Frocks Market, as well as the Olympics inspired Sports Area.

The Marylebone Summer Fayre takes place from 10am - 5pm, Sunday 17th June 2012. The event is free to attend.
