What: £5 summer camp days

How: This is a £5 summer camp 'taster day' with a mixture of sports and activites for ages 5-14, at 39 venues in England, Scotland and Wales. King's Camps is a registered UK charity (part of The Kings Foundation).

Book online at King's Summer Camp or book by phone on 0845 643 5270 – either way quote the code MSE12. Only one £5 day can be booked per child. If you took part in the £5 camp day offer last year, you can’t get it again this time.


What do I get? Each day lasts from 9.30am-4pm, though this can be extended from 8.15am-5.45pm to cover childcare needs for an extra £3/day. There's a variety to pick from: Kids Camp (under 8s), Junior Challenge (8-10s), Teen Camp (11-14s), Rookie (14-17s), Swimming (age 8), Football (age 10), Cricket (age 10), Jump (gym and dance, age 10).

The detail: If you've had the £5 offer before, you can use the code to get 25% off a camp for five days (Mon- Fri), making the cost £100.50 instead of the usual £134. For camps without pools, it's £88.50 instead of £118.

In addition, you can use childcare vouchers to p*y for this, or claim extra tax credits (though you'll have to p*y on a credit/debit card first to secure the place and get reimbursed later) – see the Childcare Costs guide.
