I'm here!
Firstly let me congratulate the lovely, slender and well toned Diane for yet another magnificent weight loss achievement this week. I'm loving her consistency and determination. Those thighs are looking great now too!
Well Done Diane - You Rock Girl!
Sorry I didn't get on the thread yesterday - I got caught up in loads of stuff and didn't have a chance to post anything.
I did get weighed though, and have just stayed the same. No loss, no gain!
I'm disappointed to be honest - but hey I fully realise it could have been worse, I could easily have put weight on. Between you and me, I had a few silly and wholly unnecessary transgressions last week like

fitting in extra unplanned eating sessions just before bedtime a couple of times and skipping exercise sessions.

Those kind of things all add up - so I kind of reaped what I sowed so to speak.
Don't worry though, before anyone says anything

- I'm not going to beat myself up about it. It's in the past now and I'll be concentrating on the week ahead now. Onwards and upwards as they say
Had a fab day at the local National Trust Property yesterday. Did seven miles of cycling and two or three miles of walking over quite a hilly course. It was really enjoyable to be out in the countryside in the best weather that we've had so far this year.
Yesterday will have to be my treat day as my mate had brought along the best pain au chocolate I have
ever tasted. It would have seemed churlish and ungrateful not to accept the calorie-laden delight.
We had one each after our respective main courses (mine was predictably a salad). The Pain au's were huge, fresh and the crispy, flaky kind that are stuffed with a huge amount of chocolate that was soft, semi-liquid and with that special chocolaty sheen to it. These were definitely the kind that you can only get from high end expensive deli outlets rather than the pale imitation soggy disappointing copies supplied by supermarkets. We ate them with strawberries, blueberries and black coffee in the glorious sunshine amongst fantastically opulent and elegant surroundings .
It was like a scene out of Brideshead Revisited, ........but I hasten to add in a manly way without any hint of gayness.

Not that I have anything against that kind of thing you understand, each to their own, whatever floats your boat, live and let live, etc etc - but just sayin'.
I know that I mentioned that I had b*ght an old racing bike last week - but yesterday I b*ght another even better, lighter one. It needs a little work - new tyres and some attention to some of the mechanical components and a general clean and tidy up. But it's the bargain of the century - I will be cleaning it and polishing it today, like the little lad that I really am inside and ordering some new bits over the internet. I can't wait to take it out and put it and me through our respective paces.
Mrs Preston is getting "a little concerned" with "all these bikes" that I am amassing
Hmm......I can see that I may have to sell some on at this rate! Whatever....
Today's Meal:
1) Porridge semi-skimmed black coffee,
2) Salad,
3) Salmon and rice,
4) Earl Grey Tea, Toast
Today's Exercise:
1) Several hours of vigorous, time consuming and calorie-burning Bike Cleaning.
2) Maybe a 25 min rower session if the bike cleaning goes well.
Be good everyone!
