havingascreen wrote:I agree, there was a study done recently on depressed people where half were told to exercise and keep a diary on how they felt afterwards. The scientists said the results were that exercise makes no difference to your mood.

I beg to differ with those boffins.
Who would you believe the boffins or us lot - no contest!! They are probably referring to people with true clinical depression so they are probably right on that one but as for not lifting peoples moods have they never heard of endorphins

Have a lovely rest havingascreen and no exercise please.

Menu of the day:
Porridge with semi skimmed milk and a black coffee (300 calories)
4 Sesame seed Ryvita with 75gm cottage cheese with apple and pear (out of a packet not home made), (300 calories)
Cambridge diet vegetable chilli (285 calories plus 175 calories of wholegrain rice) weight watchers fromage frais (50 calories)
One Spanish chocolate (I put it on my saucer so I don't have 2) and a black coffee (50 calories - they were a gift for feeding the neighbours fish)

My exercise DVD - I had a look at a Matt Roberts DVD last night but they do lots of squats which are rubbish for me as due to my body shape they tend to bulk up my already generous thighs so I'll stick with Tracy Anderson so I'll will have legs like Gwyneth Paltrow :rofl2: (anyone who has met me will know that without surgery this will never happen).

Hope you all have a fun day and good luck with your weigh-in Biggins o/

Hmmm! Stood on the scales - no weight lose!!! LIAR!!! I shouted at the scales I have been running around like a headless chicken the past couple of days at the Graduations. :( BUT then the little voice in my head says "Ah but didn't you stand a the buffet at the end of it last night popping bite sized quiche, and other savouries into your mouth whilst speaking to people"!!! :red: Don't know how much I ate probably much more than I thought as we weren't using plates. :nono: Okay so it could have been worse so I will move on and hope I do better this week.

Its a week for staying static Biggins, stay strong :star:

No worries Diane, am stationed in bed with laptop and have no appetite so will probably lose weight by default. My OH is going to get me my feel better food - tomatoe soup and lucozade. :p

Enjoy your exercise DVD and your imaginary Gwyneth leg fantasy

Taking a 5 min break from reports typing. 60 down, 150 to go!!....Would normally have a cuppa & a chocolate bar...but am having water & "Carr's table water" crackers instead!! (not quite the same but still tasty).
I have sinus trouble Clare and have been tested for hayfever but was found to have a dust mite allergy.I did think it was my sinuses at first till i got a sore throat and fluffy head.

Well done for breaking your choc, cuppa habit and replacing it so healthily o/ That's a hell of a lot of reports to get through 8O 8O

It is so annoying when you have been good - I always try and put things on a plate now as I have been known to pour a few (and the rest) Maltesers into my mouth from the packet - not an attractive sight and obviously when I'm not sharing (the norm for me  )

Have a lovely rest havingascreen and as you say you have no appetite - I have never been in that situation but do have loads of fluid o/

Morning everyone - I feel like I'm hogging this thread at the moment
Menu of the day:
Smoothie with bananas and strawberries (250 calories)
Celery soup and Polish bread - I'm copying havingascreen (I know you b*ght it because they had ran out of rolls but I do love it) and an apple (300 calories as I may have 2 slices of bread as its so lovely)
Weight watchers cheese and onion quiche, salad, low calorie dressing and melon (400 calories)
I will probably have to eat a biscuit at my mothers later otherwise she will say I'm being difficult (don't you just love them - she is so bossy  100 calories)
150 calories for nibbles tonight as I'm going to the theatre with akh43 to watch Starlight Express :cheer:

I will do a 4 mile walk today.

Hope you're feeling better havingascreen, have you finished the marking ClareBarr? Have fun everyone else.
