Another Photo Question...

Does anyone know, please, how to attach a photo to a post (or to embed a photo, or whatever the technical term is)? I know Anjirose has done it, but I don't know how. And if anyone does know, could s/he kindly explain it simply? (Bearing in mind that I haven't even managed to attach an Avatar or create a signature yet!) I can send them with e-mails but the same option isn't available here. Thank you.

You cannot upload photos to a message like this and as far as I am aware nobody has managed it. What you do is upload the image to another site and then tell the server where to look for it.

In simple terms:
1) Click on "Post Reply" or "Quote" depending on what you want to do next. The buttons are easy to find.
2) Above the message window are a number of BBcode tags. Click on the one that says "Img".
3) Between the 2 sets of square brackets type the url of the image you want to display like this. [ img]type url here[/img]
4) There is no 4, just a slightly different way of doing it. Type the url first, highlight it, and then click on "Img".

Yeah I had the some idea. Trouble is I don't know where to upload my pictures to!

Apparently my OH has a Facebook page so, abhorrent as the idea is, I may ask him to put my photos there first, and see if that counts as uploading.

If you have webspace attached to your broadband account, you can use that.
