Rawr-xoxo at least you did some walking to and from the Gym but how annoying!!

I woke up bright and early this morning so I've already done my exercise DVD so feeling energised and ready for my first day back at work plus I'm not working until 9am and close to home today so always a bonus that extra hour. I have woken up with a big belly this morning (its not hormones) and tried to think what I did yesterday - could be something to do with 4 fresh coffees, 2 instant and 2 cans of Diet Coke rather than my usual 2 litres of water. I'm rubbish when I have too much free time as I go swanning around

Menu of the day:
Fruit and Fibre and a black coffee (300 calories)
Beans on toast and an apple (300 calories)
Jacket potato with cottage cheese with pineapple and a large green salad with balsamic vinegar (350 calories) Jelly strawberries and ice cream (150 calories - my last portion of it as I b*ght loads of strawberries)
100 calories to spare :D

Still no Preston and havingascreen

Morning All! Enjoyed the swimming with the two grandaughters yesterday although I really did very little "swimming" as the pool was so full of kids it was hard to move. They enjoyed it and played on the inflatable slide that was in the pool for the summer holidays. When we did get a chance to swim the length of the pool the 7 year old beat me and the 8 year old was just behind me- so they are both excellent swimmers.

Got a hospital appointment this morning which means you sit for at least two hours before you are seen!! :wall:

Had my granola with semi skimmed milk, a banana and a cup of tea this morning. Got homemade vegetable soup for lunch. Going to the fishmonger for haddock for tonight which will have with ayrshire potatoes(only one potato for me) and stir fry vegetables. A yoghurt for afterwards. Probably have a couple of crispbreads and a cup of tea before bed. Plenty of water during the day - but not till after the hospital. ;)

Still rather dull and miserable here but not raining a the moment - don't know how long that will last though. Should have been to the Taste of Edinburgh in the meadows on Sunday with the tickets I won but the show was cancelled due to the site being waterlogged. Still it saved me going round the stalls tasting everything and adding a few calories on to my day without realising it.

I keep meaning to b*y balsamic vinegar Diane as it is so much lower than mayonnaise on salad. Will add it to my shopping list for tomorrow.

i joined a gym!

it's very bloody expensive but when i go i like being there it makes me feel good, rather than the shitty cheap gym i spent money trying to avoid because it made me feel shit.

i go twice a week, it's amazing how fast weeks go by! i wanted to be going 3 times a week but i will build up to it.

i've not lost much weight yet but my clothes are starting to feel baggier and i feel better for going.

next step is to definitely sort out my eating (bad) habits though.

Well done and welcome, ariuf! It's money well spent if you enjoy it :D I'm sure you know it's not just about how much you weigh, but how you feel - sounds like you're off to a great start, with a noticeable change already!

And you're in the right place if you want encouragement to improve your eating habits!
