Good morning people and as they say today is a new day and I hope that the pleasant Preston maybe behaving himself - I can't believe that the gentleman that is our MrG believed that scoundrel over me :noo:

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with banana and strawberries with a black coffee (250 calories)
Tuscan bean soup (Asda out of a tin) with a slice of bread and a kiwi fruit (400 calories)
Hot chicken salad - I pan fry chicken with my one cal spray seasoned with cumin, garlic, chilli and curry powder then put it on my salad which consists of loads of rocket (my favourite), watercress, spinach, onions, peppers, cucumber and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar with a piece of French stick (350 calories)
Rhubarb (I don't sweeten the rhubarb I like it as it is - I love the contrast of the sharpness with the sweetness of the custard) and Weight Watchers custard courtesy of Betty Botter (120 calories)
I may have a hot chocolate tonight with my spare 80 calories or opt for butter on my French stick with the salad - decisions

I will do my exercise DVD for my exercise of the day o/

Good luck with the weigh in today Valda o/ What's everyone else up to including Biggins, Preston, rawr_xoxo, havingascreen (I assume you're still enjoying the Tapas), ClareBarr, aruif, legs and our newest lady the lovely Ejwrank also to anyone else who wants to join in? Have a fun day everyone o/

Morning all! I had stopped posting my meals as they are all pretty tame compared to yours Diane and Preston's. My husband is a "mince and tatties" man and doesn't like anything fancy so I tend to stick to casseroles, stir frys, different fish, steaks, lamb, pork and chicken all cooked very plainly so he will eat it. He doesn't eat many vegetables which is why I make a lot of homemade soups for lunch so he gets them that way. Rather like looking after a child!!!

Had my bacon roll for breakfast. Tonight is baked potato, salad, sirloin steak. Biscuits and cheese for afters for a change.

Went for a good long walk yesterday in between the very heavy rain we had here and as it is dry at present will finish the ironing and go out for another walk today.

Preston is even trying to get into the beauty business with his legs needing waxing - look out Liz Earle!!

Morning all! I had stopped posting my meals as they are all pretty tame compared to yours Diane and Preston's.
Mine is a mixture of both that and being naughty D:
Ate way too much on friday but atleast it was healthy ish stuff, fruit pots and yoghurt and all.
And dad came round yesterday for a chat and we went to a pub and had a few drinks(diet coke ofcourse lol) had a nice chat then cause of the weather he suggested a dessert, when we saw the prices of the current pub(where 2 desserts would be £10.10! we moved onto a sizzling pub)
I attempted to order the smallest 'readable' dessert ont he menu, and naturally ended up with one of the largest >.< , whipped cream, dairy milk pieces(like mcflurry size), 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and a chunk of fudge cake at the bottom(id dint finish the cake but i was close.)

BUT I did go to the gym afterwards, and ran and used a Veto machine(???) and did all my weights and ab exercises, oh which I am now aching from because I havent seen weights in so long
D:

Menu for today is up in the air a little
Breakfast
Multigrain rice krispies

Lunch(havent decided yet!)
Ham Omelette with side salad and sweet chilli sauce OR
Salmon fillet with rustic oven chips and peas, with sweet chilli or BBQ sauce OR
Salmon fillet with pilau rice and peas, with sweet chilli HOT sauce.(highest kcal of the 3 by a few hundred so least likely option!)

Dinner
Havent a clue, since I'll be at the boyfriends house, I'll be taking 2 WW meals over just in case, and something for breakfast tomorrow(cant stand crumpets or toast!)
Shadowhunters: Looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.
I am, after all, what you made me.

Good Morning everyone! I hope everyone is feeling good today! Isn't it lovely to see the sun shining after all the rain we've had in recent weeks/months. Hopefully it will stay like this for a while now.

I'm not really sure what you are hinting at here Diane, and to be honest I had thought about reporting your unwarranted attack on me to the Moderators. On reflection though, I have decided that I'm just going to ignore your scurrilous and cruel remarks and move quietly on, as always  , focussing my efforts on my own personal weight-loss journey. :nono: ;)

I want to start by thanking Steve from the NW who wrote in praising everyone's efforts and commitment on the WW thread. I am sure that I speak on behalf of all of us here when I say "thanks a lot Steve, it's nice to get that kind of endorsement". o/

I love hearing your menu ideas Biggins. o/ Homemade soups, stir fry’s and casseroles are amongst my favourite foods so keep them coming. It sounds like you are doing well on the old walking and swimming fronts too!

Rawr - Your recent gym session sounds good. If it was me, I'd plump for the salmon fillet with rice and peas, with sweet chilli HOT sauce despite it being the highest cal option. The added spiciness could increase your metabolism and cancel out those additional calories - or maybe not - I'd chance it though as it sounds the nicest and you could always forgo the odd unplanned snackette to make up for it!

Good luck with today's weigh-in Valda :cross:

ClareBarr, MsT, Ejwrank, Aruif, Legs, Octopus, Others - How are you all doing? We'd love to hear from you all! :D

Today's Menu:

1) Egg on toast - poached rather than deep fried! :shifty:

2) Aubergine, green pepper, red onions and chorizo with boiled rice.

3) Bruschetta (well sort of!)

4) Earl Grey with lemon. Two satsumas.

Exercise:

1) Gardening.

Blinking flip - I've just noticed that it's raining now - the gardening may have to wait!!

Me too and you are a great inspiration so please get posting your meal plans. I always think of your meals as being good and wholesome and not faffed around with - I eat anything going cooked anyway so I like experimenting with new ideas but loads of people don't. Also how you plan your meals and measure carbs to keep your diabetes under control is brilliant to read. I do get ideas from your meals and from everyone else on here sometimes not for the right reason after Preston's Walkers crisps scenario I had the urge to eat a cheese and onion crisp sandwich on white buttered bread (I know its disgusting but absolutely wonderful) but I did resist - I even contemplated having it on a treat day but so far so good, also rawr_xoxo delicious desserts had me salivating :noo:  If you have any soup recipes I would love to read them, I love soup and it would be handy to get some made to freeze as I have a completely free week so plenty of time to do some batch cooking (I am at work full time I mean no social events) o/

I opted for the salmon fillet with chips and peas BUT instead of sweet chilli I had it with extra extra hot nandos sauce.
It was so much hotter than the sauce in store that I had to have some fro-yo after D: good job that 100g of fro-yo is only 134kcal :) a magnum(my only other option) is 280!
My mouths still burning :S
Love it! Haha

I made a huge batch of pea soup once which was amazing. I have it in one of my recipe books but think this might be the recipe: http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/533998. I do remember using a huge amount of potato, so the comment at the bottom should be ignored, in my view. Hope you enjoy it if anyone makes it!

I see the Hairy Bikers are trying to lose weight and instead of motor bikes they are now going to cycle! They must have heard about Preston! :p so no need for the waxing of the legs Preston you can just change your avatar to Hairy Biker!! I did read the Liz Earle post and commented on it! ;)
