Help: What's the best horror film?
If ever there's a resource that I think can help me, it's the guys & gals of FMUK.
Basically, I'm trying to recommend a few ultimate, "edge of seat", "soil your undies with fear" horror movies for a friend. I'm not a fan of the genre so not too knowledgeable, so if you can give me some suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Re: The ultimate scary movie
Ha, when I saw the thread title I thought this was about a next installment in the "Scary Movie" series!

I would say Scream first and foremost, not the later ones, the original, that **** me up when I watched it D:
Then I would go on to Texas Chainsaw Massacre(modern one), Saw(all of them but more so 1,2 and 3), Final destination(original), Friday 13th, The ring
And those are just a few off the top of my head :o

Scream is a good one, Scream 2 has it moments... the best are best left ignored.rawr_xoxo wrote:I would say Scream first and foremost, not the later ones, the original, that **** me up when I watched it D:

I didn't find Saw (the ones I've seen) scary, just very bloody
These will go on my list though - thanks

I don't find the Scream films that scary and I am easily scared. Chucky, Thir13en Ghosts, The Exorcist and The Shining are all films I've only ever seen snippets of but I'm too scared to fully watch.

I nearly got a coronary watching The Orphanage. It's not gory at all, but quite jump out of your seat scary. And it's Spanish so you can't even close your eyes as you have to read the subtitles!
