There were a couple of prominent features that sort of spoiled it for me, namely TLJ's ears.'Nuff said.

loved meryl streep as always, such a good actress with a few funny scenes and thought carrell was really good as a therapist and just loved tommy lee, very amusing

Brave you eating popcorn and watching that film at the same time! I'll not elaborate SPOILER!

Saw this at a pretty full Braehead Odeon. Some seats unfilled though. Lovely to sit next to Ploggit and also teddybear1 and OH. We had two guys walk out after just one minute into the film and then two females halfway through

Well this is a "feel good" film aimed I feel for older people. Though OH thought it was pretty funny. I just couldn't get my head round that Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep were playing a married couple only for 31 years. With a line from him saying " they weren't 22 anymore". That would only make them in the fifties and both are not. Having said that both played their parts particularly well especially Streep's facial expressions. Carrell was pretty straight laced. And why add other characters as bit parts? Don't think they improved the story anymore than it was already. Would have love to see Shue more but only cos OH didn't know who she is until she joined CSI.

6/10

Went to see this at the Courthouse Hotel - a rather comfortable private screening venue with plush leather seats. Quite enjoyed the venue. We arrived a little after 6 for a 6:30 screening with 40% attendance.

Both OH and I enjoyed the movie - a relatively light hearted (rom-com?) film. In fact, found it rather light in plot and humour. What it lacked in all the above, were compensated by excellent performance from both Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. There are a few parts in the film which I thought serves good reminders to people in relationship irrespective of their age. Overall, thought it a film with subtle warmth and bucket loads good acting from both leads.

An easy 7/10 for me.

*Thanks to cliveas for the tickets*

I thought this was very funny!

What I thought was even funnier was why did a couple go out to the loos at the same time and return at the same time... was it to try one of the 'sexercises'?

It was OK film. Loved Tommy Lee Jones' facial expressions - added to the film enormously.
Scenery looked pretty.
I was at Lothian Road with virgin (and the free popcorn) - maybe you or SB were at Westerhailes.

Lothian Road was almost full but two latecomers sat next to me rustled the bags and crunched through the popcorn for almost half of the movie - most annoying!!

As for the film it was okay but not as funny as I had expected. 6/10
