Tower Block
So....tonight SFF release tickets for this British film where we can see any showing on it's opening day. Ten minutes ago I didn't even know this film existed. After a quick google I have learnt it is British and written by James Moran about a tower block where there is a sniper killing each resident one by one. Question I ask is has anyone seen it and is it any good?

Re: Tower Block
Just back from seeing this. The most likely to be popular 7.50pm screening had about 10 people in it.
This movie was full of serious plot holes which spoilt it for me.
The biggest was
the sniper was only able to see one side of the building. Surely it was possible to access apartments on the other side of the building, break those windows and hang out sheets with a single large letter on each which spelt out "HELP!"? Yet no effort was made to access that side of the building. At worst you could have started a fire on land outside the building simply by throwing flaming objects out. Its even possible to flash the lights in morse code ...---... SOS.
Re: Tower Block
I enjoyed the film, thought it was nerve-wracking and well done.
The only problem was I didn't see the final few minutes when an argument led to a fight in the screen. Trocadero!

Re: Tower Block
Like steve9872, I saw this on Friday but we had an audience of 15 in Paisley, which was a significant figure in the film, I think. (How many folk living on the top floor)
I was very surprised that there were not more folk there . . . strange . . . as it's also the local holiday weekend.
I did see some dreadful wholes in the plot but . . . I must admit, I liked the film and found I was almost sitting on the edge of my seat at times!
One big Rant though . . . just how long are the adverts pre the film? I thought they were going on forever! I was quite looking forward to seeing some previews but the adverts . . . .
I would not have been unhappy to have pa*d to see this film.
Marks: 7.5/10
On exit, there was some fun with others from screening re who was going top open the door 1st . . .

Re: Tower Block
Sounds like they could do with some more bums on seats - 10s and 15s? On a Friday night too! Pity they don't release some more tickets for tonight and tomorrow. I'd go.

Re: Tower Block
We've all been spoilt by free previews with the movie starting at the start time. A pa*d for normal screening always has about 20 to 30 minutes of adverts and previews before the main feature starts.McG wrote:One big Rant though . . . just how long are the adverts pre the film? Put simply, you p*y for the privelege of being bored stiff by the adverts.

Re: Tower Block
...or time your arrival for 20-30 mins after start time to avoid, but run risk of a crappy seat. I find it hard enough to avoid numb-bum scenario as it is without an extra 30 minutes of drivel.steve9872 wrote:We've all been spoilt by free previews with the movie starting at the start time.
