Well done Preston1990 on your weight loss that is brilliant and 1lb closer to your weight.
A bit of rain never hurt anyone and as jojojoanne says its freedom :D
I will do whatever I can to keep you motivated you have done amazing and will continue to do so. Right Mr Preston lets get you motivated - What are your meals for the day? What exercise do you intend to do today? Are we having Saturday as a treat day as both myself and Andrews are partial to a cake. You will get there and we will all support you all the way - I will be on your case until you get to your target so the choice is yours get on with it or have me nagging at you forever (not a pleasant thought ;) )

Come on Preston - you have lost 35lbs which is a massive amount so what are you going to do - give up after all that effort and put all the weight back on!!! :nono:
Diane and I will nag you if you don't get movitavated again. ;) Come on - I was feeling a bit like that last week when I put on 2lbs but I have been walking more and just in from swimming in the outdoor pool - in the rain and with leaves floating on the top from the wind blowing the trees last night!! Cold but once I had swam a couple of lengths of the pool it was fine and refreshing.

You have given us plenty of encouragement when we felt down. Come on get off your butt and get cycling again. We want to see a lose of a least another 1lb next week - and no more binges!!!

Well, these Weight Watchers ('for Heinz', that's all they had at Tesco) meals are not that bad.

Yes if he lived up in Edinburgh I'd be dragging him to swim in the outdoor pool with me - that would sort him!! ;)

Preston1990 wrote:Morning everyone!

I've found it hard to stick to eating sensibly this week and have even had several forays into crisp, chocolate bar and cookie territory. I haven't done any bike riding (or any other exercise) either due to all sorts of reasons: lack of motivation, laziness, cold and rainy weather, my regular bike mate being away on holiday and feeling biking alone is rather sad. I won't go on. I know that they are all just pathetic excuses really - they wouldn't have stopped me in the past!

I put on 4 pounds last week and was expecting to have put on at least a couple more this week for the reasons listed above. I've actually lost a pound though so I'm quite relieved because it could have been, and maybe should have been, so much worse.

I'm struggling with it all now to be honest, my motivation seems to be at rock bottom at the moment. The desire to be thinner in no way matches my desire to eat and slob around I'm afraid.

Ah well - We'll see what the coming week brings. I need to get a grip! :D

I'm sick of all this horribly wet and cold weather! :(
I'm doing what we call the 'yo-yo' a lot: losing weight, putting on weight, etc etc.
And I know it's hard to stick on a diet especially with this crappy weather... but keep in mind it's gonna be like this for weeks and weeks. And you don't want to eat chocolate and put on weight until the sun comes back!!
b*y grapes, b*y Special K chocolate bars, b*y low fat biscuits and allow yourself to be greedy a little bit.
Have one or two 'I don't care' meals a week, and stop worrying or regretting!
You can do it o/

Exactly Biggins!! Us girls are not to be messed with :shifty: Still waiting to hear your plans for the day unless you are heading off for an evening swim with Biggins.

Forgot to say I have maintained my weight so now I know I can have one healthy meal out per week plus 2 cakes (or the equivalent of) to maintain if I have between 1200-1500 calories per day and exercise 4 times a week. This will suit me better than just having an extra 200 calories per day.

I took a step back from the here for a little while again as I was pretty busy, so I come on here and the fist thing that caught my eye is Jojo's ""please dont give up"...I thought whats going on, who's giving up?

Then I saw your post, Preston. Look dont worry, you said a word that made me sigh with relief. You said the word, motivation. Yeah I know, I know...you said you dont have it! So why am I relieved? Because you know thats what you need. You know what it takes but all you've forgotten is your GOAL, sir. If I recall, your goal is for your children and grandchildren to look up to you as a shining knight of health and fitness, someone they can aspire to and be proud of, to learn from as they themselves get older and show their children the enlightening path to a longer healthier life. Wasnt that your goal? Or did I just make that up? Oh heck, well I'm giving you one now if you need one. We got 3 months for Christmas, and that's a perfect timeline to shed another 9-10lbs, and reward yourself for the this tremendous year of your incredible achievement so far.

And I tellya something else, these girls arent gonna give up on you either, you're their champ, aint no way they gonna let you slide away from them, so ride this wave, its a tough obstacle you going through right now but its just that, an obstacle, its there for you to conquor, SO KNOCK THAT EVIL SON OF A JOAN COLLINS DOWN. And boy thats when your life will rock like never before.

So bring on that hammer, and lets see that menu for tomorrow, and the day after, please. Oil that bike, check the tyres and ride that f***ing wave, Sir. I've said it before, even after all I achieved myself, I look up at you because you inspire me. And oh...one more thing, I best not disobey Biggins, if I were you! I felt these girls wrath before...its more than an Ouch ;)

And some of you, stop blaming the weather! Its just a mental distraction, I've fallen in that trap too with my running training..."oh its raining, I cant cycle or run now, best stay at home and watch Star Wars then." But R2D2 (sorry, he's my droid pet), told me "beep beep beeeeep beep bip", and I replied "you're right R2, I can bloody workout at home, I got stairs to do climbing exercises, step ups, etc, I gotta floor to do press ups, situps etc. Or I can go to the gym instead" (this was before I had my stretch bands). Just remember your goals guys and dont make excuses :)

I'm having kippers with tomatoes, baked beans (no tomato sauce), broccoli with delicious low fat Mushroom sauce topping. Tastes great, and I hate broccoli but with the low fat mushroom sauce, it actually tastes so good.
