I had salmon, new potatoes and a green salad - it was delish!!!!

Woah people - I'm shocked and quite overwhelmed by your reaction to my last post. Thanks everybody for the support, :shifty: threats, advice and encouragement. I'm seriously quite touched - you are all fantastically lovely people. o/

Let me make one thing clear though - I was never saying that I was so demoralised that I was on the brink of "giving up". I was just making the point that I was finding it much harder now than when I first set out, and was disappointed with my lack of restraint on the food front and resolve on the exercise front. :D

Anyhow........Your wise words have reinvigorated me somewhat so sincere thanks for that. :D

So ;) without further ado:

Today's Meals:

1. Low fat rhubarb live bio organic yoghurt with handful of mixed green and black seedless grapes. Cafetière of black coffee.

2. Two grilled mackerel fillets with new potatoes and baby courgettes.

3. Tuna (tinned unfortunately :( ) salad leaves, red onions, tomatoes, green peppers and black olives with sour cream and chive dressing.

4. Two corn on the cob drizzled with a little olive oil and spread with cranberry and red onion chutney. Post meal shower and change of clothes highly recommended - it's messy!

5. Earl grey tea, toast melbas with goats cheese and red pepper.

Exercise:

I'll be emulsion painting some walls and ceilings today.

Nice menu Preston. o/ I am sure that your wife will be happy to see that your execise for the day is painting walls and ceilings. ;) Diane lost a lot of weight painting and decorating so keep it up and you'll be back on track in no time.

Today I had small banana with bowl of granola and a cup of tea for breakfast. Soup and a yoghurt for lunch. Tonight baked potato and a gammon steak with tomato and lettuce. Two flatbreads with a cup of tea before bed.

Been in the town and had a walk round the shops as I had to go to John Lewis's for something.

So I've been trying the Weight Watchers for Heinz meal these past days and it's pretty cool.
Small portion, or should I say 'big enough'. I usually have one meal + one or two slices of bread and some cheese for lunch, and something light for evening as soup, or small sandwich at work (yes I know, bread again), veggies...
I tried the WW ice creams pots too! :p
Will definitely keep this diet.

And... I just b*ght an exercise mat... :)

I'm so happy to see your post Preston you are back in the zone.
Lovely meals too and glad you are taking on some painting - its fab exercise.
Biggins and Octopus your meals sound lovely too - I haven't had gammon for ages so you've inspired me Biggins. Octopus I too like my bread and I never worry if I have it twice as long as the calories are ok I'm happy. I've never noticed the Weight Watchers for Heinz logo before - just checked on the site and they have some wonderful meals. Now got more meals to look out for.

I've kept this to myself but I thought that I would share it as I was too upset/annoyed at the time. Last week I met up with my best friend at the Liz Earle event which I was really looking forward to we haven't seen each other for a few months and her reaction to my weight loss really took me back. She was basically horrified that I had done this to myself telling me I looked so ill and gaunt, even asking me if I had something major wrong with me (this went on for 30 minutes); I was so stunned I couldn't react as such and it left me so deflated I know it will sound trivial but we pa*d £15 for the tickets which I wanted to redeem against a new lippie but felt so ugly that I just b*ght another cleanser (which I use anyway) even though I knew that there was one in my goodie bag. I have had a few say don't lose any more just recently but this is the first real negative thing I've had said to me.

Back on the positive
Menu of the day:
Special K with all bran and a black coffee (300 calories)
Cup a soup and a large wholemeal roll followed by a peach (400 calories) - having it while I get my hair cut
Ham, rocket and tomato sandwich followed by a peach (300 calories) - on the train

Exercise of the day will have to be walking whenever I can (between station, hotel and tram) as working this morning, followed by haircut and then off to Newcastle on the train to visit the University plus meeting up tomorrow with our very own Preston1990 and my lovely friend andrews. o/

Good luck with the weigh in Biggins o/ Have a fab day everyone and have fun o/

It's just because she hadn't seen you for a long while, Diane, and she's not used to the new 'you'. My Dad lost weight because he had to change his diet. This was a while ago. I don't see him as often as I'd like and I too thought he looked ill when I first saw him. He was never fat, but had a belly on him, which suited him. He lost his belly and his face was slimmer. I didn't like it, cos it didn't suit him .. it wasn't what I was used to!! That's such a shame that your friend made you feel like that. Please .. go and b*y that lippy that you wanted. Not only do you deserve it, but you wanted it and at the time you probably felt more confident. Don't let her remarks make you feel bad. Celebrate the new you that you've worked hard to achieve - wear that lippy with pride!!!
