Re: Weight Watchers
Well you certainly earned the cake you had! Running UP escalators?! MADNESS!
That's really sweet of you to say you'd be happy with just 15 minutes! I would love to but the plan, thus far is this: Drive up on the Saturday via a catch up with OH's friends in Oxford which means it'll be late(!), wedding Sunday morning, then drive down as soon as post wedding lunch and catch up with northern rellies is finished. I'd be hard pressed to say what time any of this is happening (I admit our timing tends to be vague around weddings), plus I'll have a car full of rellies, so probably not feasible. Should anything become clearer I will see if anyone is around.
£12???! The best I could find 6 weeks in advance was £62! Didn't know about the wedding 12 weeks in advance, sadly. But hey ho, OH will drive so I will sleep, muahahaha! Oh it's a hard life being pregnant.
Incidentally, I am dreaming of victoria sponge since you mentioned it. Bad anakin!

Have you seen the prices of the train if you b*y it on board £142 each so it was necessity? (and madness)anakin wrote:Well you certainly earned the cake you had! Running UP escalators?! MADNESS!
Menu of the day:
Strawberry and a banana smoothie with a black coffee (300 calories)
Ham salad roll with a weight watchers lemon yoghurt plus 2 kiwi (350 calories)
Weight watchers curry and an apple (320 calories)
I will add on another 200 calories throughout the day - I must add some veg somewhere
I will do my exercise DVD after the cinema as starting work at 10 tomorrow - the relevance of that is that it wakes me up and as I will be starting it at 9 or later means it will be midnight before I go to bed.
Have a fun day everyone and looking forward to seeing what you're all up to.

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi everyone,
Sorry to be on a bit of a downer but I'm feeling pretty crappy as I'm off work today (pains in my back, all part of my condition). I had everything prepared & some lovely lessons planned...this really gets me down!! Especially annoying as I only work Mondays & Tuesdays (it's all I'm able to do due to my health). I've hardly slept all night so will probably try to sleep now during the day. It's lovely to hear that you guys have meet ups, I live in Croydon so if anyone plans a meet up again in London would be fab to meet you all :)
Am getting a bit fed up of the sight of my flat (I've been in pain all week so not been able to do much) but will try to watch a comedy on dvd or something later to try to cheer myself up. No chance of me doing my exercise dvd today but I have plenty of fruit in so will at least try to eat healthily.
Sorry again to sound a bit depressive - I'm sure I'll cheer up as the day goes on!!
Have a good day all xx

Re: Weight Watchers
So sorry from me too and it must be really tough being in so much pain. I had no idea where you lived otherwise I would have told you that I was coming down but I'm sure that I'll return in the new year so we have a date to look forward to. I do get a bit carried away with my trips and as I was visiting Newcastle University last weekend and Buckingham Palace this one - I took the opprortunity to incorporate some socialising with some lovely people from here.jojojoanne wrote:Take Care, ClareBarr .. check in during the day to let us know how you're getting onClareBarr wrote:Hi everyone,

My next social event is meeting up with the Edinburgh ladies and a gent in December on my trip to visit the castle.
I really do hope that you can enjoy a nice film or even catch up on Downton Abbey - that always gives me a nice warm feeling or possibly read a lovely book. Take care xx

Re: Weight Watchers
Thanks Diane & Joanne for your lovely messages. I managed to get some sleep, am just getting up now.
Wow Diane sounds like you have some lovely trips planned :) one place I've always wanted to go is Disneyland....Florida would be the ultimate but Paris first I think. The boyfriend & I are gonna start to save up!
I've never seen Downton Abbey, Diane. Will have to check it out sometime. I've been re-watching old Friends episodes on dvd, also I've got the boxset of Roswell & Bugs (BBC tv series I loved as a teenager). I've not started either yet, so might do today.
I also b*ght the book (that the Clint Eastwood film was based on) of "play misty for me", from the hospital charity shop the other day. It's very good! I sometimes find it hard to concentrate on reading books as I get very tired, but might read a bit of that later.
Would be lovely to meet up with some of you in the new year, let me know the dates you plan to visit again, Diane x

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi guys,
Nice to catch up on all the healthy eats and exercisethons, Diane, you certainly had wings on your heels. How was your 9k Glassy? Biggin's and jojojoanne, you're being good. I sympathise with you Anakin, I've got no motivation and getting plumper by the film. Ate a lot of crap while watching a lot of crap tonight. All i did was entertain, go to dinner and eat this weekend.
ClareBarr, you could invest in one of those toning belts so if your body is too sore you'll still be toning. The downers are hard to come back from but when you feel good again, you'll be able to look back at the bad times and feel grateful that you've been strong enough to come back from them
I'll be good tomorrow, this is what i'll have:
porridge with a handful of raisins = 300 cals
Chicken soup with crackers = 300 cals
snacking on banana, orange, carrot and pepper ( i've got those veggies in Glassy ) = 200 cals
meatballs and pasta = 500 cals
Still leaves me 200 cals for tea, coffee and maybe a wee freddo??
nighty night night

Re: Weight Watchers
Loving your meals havingascreen and jojojoanne. My mother borrowed my slow cooker about 10 years ago (still waiting for its return) but a chicken casserole sounds lovely especially after an autumnal walk. I had never thought of putting raisins in my porridge but I will try it tomorrow as I have a bag in. You have got motivation havingascreen just by posting on here.
I ended up doing the shortened version of the DVD where I add on my ripcord workout as my body is feeling worn out today and I will end up doing myself a mischief if I tried doing an hour - the technique would be dire. My extra calories were made up by an orange kitkat that steve kindly gave to me at the cinema.
