Been out for a short walk and back as I have a workman coming between 10am and 3pm. Hopefully he will be here before 12 so I can get out this afternoon. Hate waiting for workmen as they never come until the last moment but if you go out and are not back until five minutes past the allocated time that when they call and leave a note to say they have been!!

Just cereal and cup of tea this morning as in a rush to get out. Homemeade soup for lunch and beef casserole for meal tonight. Your body wants warming meals now and the thought of a salad doesn't appeal. I too have a lot of meals and hotel stays over November, December and January so trying to be good just now before the "piggy" mode sets in. :(

Hope you enjoy your walk Biggins. I have no idea how but I have lost another 1lb  It must be all the walking that I have done on my holiday.

Wish I could say "no idea how I have lost another 1lb"!!! :noo: It must be all the walking and rushing around you do. Well done anyway - just don't let it go to far down past your target weight - want to be able to see you when you come to Edinburgh - you might be a stick insect by then!

Haven't heard from Preston - is that a bad sign??

Workman has been - thank goodness -so logging on here before going out again for another walk.

So pleased that they came early and you're able to go for a walk :D

I too worry when we don't hear from Preston.

I take your point re losing too much weight but me and a stick insect I'm more of a caterpillar shape with a few too many curves but not as many legs ;) I have taken your advise so have had a slice of parkin after my dinner (MrG would be saying a should have more veg instead). Only 3 weeks on Saturday until Edinburgh and I'm really looking forward to meeting up. o/

Preston, havingascreen and Valda where are you? We are all missing you.

I'm afraid its another rest day due to lack of time - feeble excuse I know.

Menu of the day:
All bran with a banana and a black coffee (400 calories)
Garlic sausage salad sandwich with 2 satsumas and a weight watchers fromage frais (400 calories as a smaller sized loaf of bread)
Belvita biscuits (220 calories - I know they are rubbish Biggins but I love them) as will be eating them at the cinema tonight.
I will have a snack when I get in just after 9pm
I am upping my calories as I do want to maintain and not lose but as I won't be moving my body much today I don't want to up it too much today.

Please keep posting everyone o/

Having a rest-weekend, with lots of visitors and going out eating. Not looking good for my weight loss plan. Back on the diet on Monday when all visitors will have left. I think I'm going to be yo-yo-ing around like this until Christmas. My diary is filling up with 'going out to eat' plans. I will have to make an effort to do some serious exercise in between times, but this will be very difficult for me, as exercise and are not close buddies!

As for Preston, don't worry - he'll be on one of his cycling marathons, or d-i-y projects, or tinkering with a car engine. He'll be back soon, I'm sure! :D

Lost another 1lb!! :D Went xmas shopping yesterday and got a few things but was running around all day and then ate too much when I came home and ended up feeling sick - which is not like me so went to bed early. Fine this morning thank goodness as have friends coming this afternoon.

Got good news and bad news yesterday - I have a full week's work next week which means more cash for xmas but the bad news is it will be more sandwiches for lunch!! Not good for my low carbing.

Hope Preston hasn't fallen off his bike again! :cross:

Looking forwards to our meeting in December Diane!! o/

WELL DONE, BIGGINS!!!

Why not take a salad next week? Or if it's not possible for you to actually sit down and eat with a knife and fork, or a salad isn't too appealing this time of year, take a couple of boxes, one with chunks of carrot, celery, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and peppers. The other with nuts and raisins. You can snack at these throughout the day whenever you get the chance. And you could also take a flask of your home-made soup to keep you full (and warm!)
