We asked the staff and they told us it was full. Staff were kinda douchey.Beate wrote: You should have come upstairs, EthanRunt.

What time was that? We arrived via lift and just barged in at 6.15pm.

By the time my friend arrived it was 6:35, but I was there since 5:45 and didn't see anyone going up to the escalator, the staff were always forcefully stopping them.

Re: Gangster Squad
Saw this last night at Showcase Manchester, It was very good! Great start to the year hopefully many more to come! but the Manchester area seems to be the first go on SFF/SKY ect....
The cinema it was shown in is proper old school, you enter through the back at the top and all the seats recline on bouncy springs (funny seeing people that haven't been there before and sit down to fast and go flying back! haha)
8/10 Thank you please..........

I absolutely loved this film, went in expecting LA Confidential, and got Sin City or even Dick Tracy. Surprisingly funny in a deadpan way too. Loved Zombieland, loved this - going to keep an eye on Ruben Fleischer.

Re: Gangster Squad
Visually stunning film, but it felt a little one dimensional lacking depth. Had I given it an out of ten immediately after the screening it would've been an 8/10, but for a film that looked so much the part I would have liked it to stay with me for a while. Disappointingly I've almost forgotten it so an average 6.5/10 from me.
I was my first time at the O2, WOW what a screen, that deserves 20/10! Though I did feel sorry for the poor souls sitting at the very front. And my fatalistic side did wonder what would happen in the event of fire, with just two narrow aisles for 1000 people? Sorry 776!

Re: Gangster Squad
I really liked this. Slick, stylish and with a film noir vibe. Sean Penn was brilliant as the sinister and brutal Cohen. Some of the characters were slightly underwritten but it was certainly a thrill to watch. 8.5/10.
