Re: The Last Stand
I'm seeing this new tonight, I'm not sure what to expect. Basic plot has echoes of High Noon with added explosions and added Johnny Knoxville?!
"I'll be back!" tomorrow with a review!

I'm going
I have no expectations so I cannot be disappointed!
Happy that it is local so quick to get home after.
Be careful out there...it's a slippery slope!

Re: The Last Stand
It has 7.6 on IMDB which is not too shoddy!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: The Last Stand
On the way home from islington. Screening was only half full so finding a seat was no hassle.
As for the movie, had some funny parts but a couple too many bloody parts for me. One of those movies to watch when you just want to sit and watch something that doesn't involve thinking.
7.5/10

Re: The Last Stand
"How are you feeling today, Sherriff?"
"Old!"
That just about sums this up. This guy is a dinosaur, and even looks like one with his leathery skin. Hell - he even speaks like one. Bizarrely, in the opening scenes he is seen walking across a street and the sound effect of his steps make him sound like King Kong, then we later get shown his choice of footwear to be moccassins (as its "his day off"). How the hell did he clump across the street in those? FAIL in the sound effects department!
Plenty of blood and graphic gore-fest scenes - check out the guy getting blown to bits! Yum.
Plenty of pointless car stunts.
Ticks all the boxes for an Arnie film so no complaints here.

Re: The Last Stand
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this film especially as I'm not normally an action film girl. An action/thriller/comedy I that didn't take itself too seriously. A bit naff in parts but I enjoyed it in a Hot Fuzz type of way. 8/10

Re: The Last Stand
'I'll Be Back', well Arnie is defiantly back!
I loved this film, I though it was cheesy but very enjoyable. However I did not like the casting of Johnny Knoxville and thought he added nothing to the film and is some ways dragged the film down (Johnny Knoxville is a rubbish actor, although great in Jackass).
I loved Arnie's one liners and also enjoy Forrest Whitakers performace (haven't seen him in anything in ages).
A fun filled action movie
