My biggest struggle is what to eat come late afternoon/early evening - I often go straight to shows from work so have dinner late. I think that's what derails me - it's easy being good at breakfast and lunch, it's the rest of the day that throws me!
Really tempted by an exercise bike, even though I don't have the room - because at least then you can do stuff as well as work out. Terrified of the gym - in my head it is full of skinny people. In reality, I suspect it is as well...
If you know you are going to a show could you prepare something healthy the day before and take with you to work for dinner and have it before you leave, no need for snacking then, or take a healthy snack with you.
My excuse with the gym is that I just don't have time to fit it in. I just know I would start off with the best intentions but kids, shift work, previews, life in general..... leaves me with precious little time anyway, so I know it would be the thing that gets the chop from the schedule.
So I try and do the bike most days, always take stairs instead of elevators/lifts if possible, time allowing walk the school run or to the shops etc & if there is some spare time take kids to park or the woods.
Still loving My Fitness Pal really makes you focus on what you are actually eating. I only weigh myself once a week at work, tonight's the night

all the effort this week has been worth it!
