As regards the extra calories, I think you are given more by the site, if you are male. ?? Also for any exercise activity that you carry out.

Yes, I put down all my drinks...and it is amazing how they mount up.

I know I have said before, but I do think, finding out your calorie intake for the day, focuses your mind.
My friend is also female but taller than me so maybe that's why, she also has a lot more weight to lose than me.

I've decided to up the calories it has given me from 1200 to 1500, I don't think 1200 is achievable long term, it still forecasts a 1/2 loss per week which is fine with me, as long as it's going down not up! Will just make sure I eat healthy and exercise. I also read that my BMR is more than the calorie allowance given which is not healthy and can lead to body going into starvation mode and not aiding weightloss at all. I found a really good post last night about it last night but can't seem to find it this morning.

I'm doing it it on 1200 calories a day plus one day on 1500 calories but I make sure that I get a lot of food for my calories but its whatever works for you depending on your build, age(metabolic rate slows down), activity levels etc. I'm with sandypiper re calorie counting focusing your mind - I love counting things.
Just had a raspberry and banana smoothie (300 calories), just off to do a bit of work so will post later with exercise and menu plan.

Good luck everyone o/

I prefer to read these comments than the Forums on MFP, for some reason they appear more genuine.

Keep it off ladies and gentlemen.

Weekends always difficult.

What is MFP? I can assure you we are all genuine MrGlass even b*ght me a tool to measure my fat (I had a very bruised abdomen(belly in my case) as I measured it that much), Valda and Ejwrank have seen my generous thighs. Hope that you girls (I'm guessing that you are female - I have been wrong before now  ) will be attending the FMUK meet up in April as it would be lovely to meet you in real life.

Just off to my mothers who will say I'm being difficult if I don't have a biscuit or two :noo:

I think Diane meant to write 'svelte' thighs -- easy mistake to make. She is a "Weight Watchers" star but extremely modest about it.

MFP - My Fitness Pal - it's an online site & you can get an app to download with your phone both (both sync together) which creates an online food diary counting the calories you have eaten & burned with exercise.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com

I think sandypiper meant they preferred to read this forum, rather than the MFP ones, some are very opinionated.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Thanks for that girls. I've never been to a slimming club in my life it's a made up as I go along weight loss regime. I never omit any food groups just count calories and move my body more than usual.
You are so kind ejwrank but they are sturdy not svelte like thighs lol.

Judging by your ticker Diane it's really working for you, I am doing very similar just using MFP to track those calories, I am rubbish at doing that kind of thing on my own, I just hoping in a month or 2 all my clothes will fit comfortably again!

I'm sure that they will fit and you are certainly very focused.

I'm ashamed to say that I ate a lots of chocolates last night and didn't do any exercise  :nono: For some reason I'm just not focused on my eating/exercising I do it for a couple of days and then go off again - it's since Christmas/ early December that I have gone off the rails :shifty: In my mind I'm already making up excuses thinking that this week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I'm working really long hours so no point in starting now as no chance of any exercise but it shouldn't stop me eating healthily. I have no excuse whatsoever so I'm giving myself a good talking to especially as I feel sluggish due to eating rubbish and lack of exercise. Right so here goes:

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with raspberries and a banana (300 calories)
Garlic sausage salad sandwich with sweet chilli sauce (200 or 300 calories depending on if I have wholemeal bread or a Warburtons sandwich slim) a kiwi and a clementine (40 calories)
Roast chicken with carrots, brocolli and 2 potatoes (400 calories)
Rhubarb which I had frozen last year and now have a big tub of it with weight watchers custard (125 calories) I don't sweeten my rhubarb I love it as it is (I love the haribo sour sweets so this can be my fix)
Cadburys options (40 calories)

Depending on which bread I choose I can have a 100 calorie treat (a twix or something healthy - when you actually write it down it focuses me as its an informed choice rather than just mindless eating (my hobby))

I'm going to do my exercise DVD now while my raspberries defrost as I had forgotten to take them out as I was being harassed by Liquorice wanting his breakfast.

Sorry for such a long post but now its in writing it will happen.

What are you girls up to today? We are going to be the body beautiful when we all meet up o/ :cross:
