Went to see this at the LaunchingFilms showcase last Sunday, probably the best film I saw that day. Daniel Day-Lewis is crazily good as Lincoln.

Does anyone know how much the Sunday Telegraph costs, please? Have searched online in vain. Was thinking OH would like a copy to read on his trip, but of course I'll be the one who has to b*y the paper and pick up the book.

Thank you. I thought it would be at least that. Why do we never get these freebies with any of the 3 papers to which we subscribe?!

Also saw this at the cinema showcase last week. Very impressed. Not quite the biopic I was expecting. A little more muted than previous Spielberg films but none the worse for that. Daniel Day Lewis is fantastic but it's a solid cast all round.

Superb on all counts!

I am a bit upset though as I wanted Joachim Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman to get Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, but I don't see this happening anymore: Daniel Day Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones were both outstanding.

9.5/10
(if you have to chose between this and the 2 other 150+ minutes out there, go for Lincoln!)

Saw this at Showcase cinema preview on Tuesday evening. I wanted to see it to be able to compare against "Les Mis" for the Oscar nominations so wanted to see them both fairly close together.
I had not really read much about the film prior to going and thought it was going to be his life story but was totally captivated by the story set over only 4 months. All the actors and acting were first class and it definitely showed that the "spin doctors" were working way back then and are nothing new! Daniel Day Lewis was outstanding and I loved Sally Fields as his wife.
Yes, it's a long film and is certainly not an "all action" movie but I and all my companions loved it!
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Enjoyed this film. DDL, Sally Fields & TLJ were amazing. Quite a long film I thought, I guess they have to be to get over key events. 8/10.
