Introduce Yourself...

just introducing myself.
I'm Martin, a civil servant, love Manchester United and love films of all kinds. I love Westerns and my favourite film is The Good The Bad and The Ugly which I've seen over 10 times. The Last Samurai and Gladiator are also at the top of my Likes The last film I saw was Les Miserables and it was brilliant.
I'm not sure how all this works; I joined just over a week ago so any guidance would be fab.
Thanks.
Martin.

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hi! I'm Stacey, working mum to 2 beautiful babies and wife to my lovely husband. Big lover of films, but never seem to be able to afford to go to many!! I love most type of films, my all time favourites being This is England, A Clockwork Orange and District 9. also love any kind of movie trivia, and a HUGE fan of Disney movies, from old to new! Sloly passing my love of film down to my children, 5 year olds favourite film is Short Circuit!
So hopefully I'll be posting regularly, be nice to chat with people who have similar interests :-)

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hi - I came here as I actually had free (Sky Rewards) tickets to Wreck-It-Ralph at the Odean Trafford this morning and whilst I spent ten minutes trying to b*y an overpriced bottle of Mountain Dew five yards from the screen entrance they decided they were full. Now trying to get some more for tomorrow (found you via a Google search for "wreck-it ralph 3rd feb free uk") but they are a little thin on the ground. Disappointed that last week there were poor turnouts due to the snow with overcrowding this week, but pleasantly surprised to see some of you manage to see so many free films!
As you may gather, I'm from Manchester. I watch mostly Sci-Fi/Horror films, but also thrillers, comedies, action films and various other things if they are on - I like to get good value from Sky Movies! Looking at Ralph mainly due to the retro-gaming angle, but I am quite a big fan of Disney films also.
Edit: Oh, I love that word-filter on the "b-word"

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Welcome to FMUK! I hope you don't mind me saying this but b*ying provisions first is a bit of a beginner's mistake - always always always go for the seats first then get everything else.JDAdams wrote:Hi - I came here as I actually had free (Sky Rewards) tickets to Wreck-It-Ralph at the Odean Trafford this morning and whilst I spent ten minutes trying to b*y an overpriced bottle of Mountain Dew five yards from the screen entrance they decided they were full. Hope this might help:

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Thank you for the welcome.
I am female and live in Gloucestershire.
I'm lucky to be halfway between Bristol and Cheltenham -
so can take advantage of free screenings in both cities.
I try to get free tickets whenever I can - and if I miss out on
free tickets then I go on Orange Wednesday or through my Times
Subscriber membership.
Have recently seen "I'll Give it a Year". Wasn't expecting to enjoy it
- but was pleasantly surprised to find it incredibly funny.
Really enjoyed "Argo" and "Safety Not Guaranteed" which I saw for free.
Looking forward to making great use of this site. Never heard of it before today.
But found it when I was searching (unsuccessfully!) for Cloud Atlas tickets for
Bristol. Hit tickets for "Song for Marion" in Cheltenham tomorrow.
Sounds a bit melancholy - but worth a try.

Did The Shining not unsettle you a tiny bit?
Anyway, good for you being brave.

A warm welcome to you, Farendwoman. Do you also use your weekend Odeon codes with the Times ? Quite handy for when you're busy in the week.Farendwoman wrote:Thank you for the welcome.
