Enjoy Snowdon rawr_xoxo, I've been there 3 times. Walking UP that mountain is a mission...but you can do it ;) Actually the coming down is what I found more difficult, even though a helluva lot quicker but its murder on the feet because there is more impact and with some slopes being quite steep, you have to keep applying the brakes which hurts (this was when I weighed a fair bit more than I do now though, so probably not so bad for you :) ). But it did hurts more than climbing up believe it or not! It does take ages to go up (I think it was something like 3-4 hrs) unless you take the train...oh god that train is frightening, when you peer over the edge at some points it feels as if its going of the edge! You'll probably still prefer take the train going up then walk down which is about 2hrs.

Have fun and dont overdo it with the lamb shank! Actually there was one place we ate where they cooked the lamb on a stone, tasted brilliant and relatively healthy option too...I'll try find it in my old itenary as I did note down the places we ate.

Didn't lose any weight this week. Ate too many carbs as I was working full time this week and had sandwiches for lunch every day and didn't take care of what I ate at night as couldn't be bothered. :noo: Still trying to lose the pounds I put back on over Xmas and the two weeks holiday abroad. But I am determined to get back on track!!! Porridge for breakfast this morning and homemade soup for lunch. Sirloin steak and roasted vegetables tonight with two crackers and cheese to follow washed down with a glass of red medicine!!!! :D

Going into town this morning as I have some shopping to do so will have a good walk round the shops while I am there.

Have a good weekend everyone. o/

It is disheartening not to lose weight, especially when we are trying so hard. I've had a few setbacks - mainly entertaining and being entertained (always involving food), and I've kept off this thread (hangs head in shame). However, I have got myself a pedometer, and am walking around trying to achieve the 10,000 steps that are required to keep fit. That's a lot of steps I have not done it yet. Even a 4 hour shopping trip to the MetroCentre didn't notch up the desired amount! I will persevere, and will be a much slimmer andrews when I go to London in April. o/

Biggins it is difficult when you have a change of schedule to eat healthily I'm worse when I'm off work and at least you have maintained which is good. Well done Andrews on getting your pedometer and its easier to actually go for a walk to clock them up but like you its my socialising that is my downfall. Well done rawr_xoxo on your climb up Snowden o/

Done my Tracey Anderson DVD so set up for the day, for some reason my legs and back weren't as stretchy as usual - possibly because I did it as soon as I got out of bed

Menu of the day:
McVities breakfast biscuits and a shape yoghurt as was ravenous after my exercise - I normally eat first but it was timing.
I will probably have the same for lunch which isn't really a good idea but easier to eat as I'm going to Lancaster to re look around the university as DD has been offered a conditional place hence revisiting a few of them plus my friend lives there hence going out for dinner
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 3238,d.bGE I always choose from the school dinner menu as they are not too large so plenty of space left for a pudding (if the truth be known the main courses are substantial enough without the pudding but it will keep me sustained for my drive home (its only an hour on the M6 but any excuse will do ;) ))- if anyone gets the chance to go the food is wonderful and 2 courses for £7 including a drink plus there is an eclectic range of people who go in which I just love.

I've had a craaaaazy week this week, full of ups and downs, but despite that I've been eating quite well all week and have been going to the gym every day , today has been my only day off from the gym and as my kids are having a party at home today i did some shopping for treats for them and b*ght a whole load of stuff for myself too ! i've already had some cheese and chives crisps, mr kiplings bakewell slice, snowball (those marshmallow things covered in chocolate and coconut) and i still have kit kats left too ! BUT i dont feel guilty at allllllllllll :D and i'm going be eating all that again later too at tea time :D Going to the card shark show today at the London Mayfair Hotel , deciding where to eat round there when we are there ... hmmmmm ....

Hi guys, seems like I've been lurking too :D

My lovely Cocker spaniel Charslton or Charlie for short who is now 5 months old has decided that he won't go for a wee in the garden (lovely boy that he is) but it means my timings are mixed up.

Its 6am rise (quick brush of the teeth) and take him straight out (cap firmly fixed on head..pleased it dark) back at 6.45am get the children up school run with Charlie in the car so we can have a lovely walk in the forest after. By the time i get back its time to do some work. Half term this week so a bit more relaxed.

My eating has been okish but I'm walking a lot more so i feel like its balanced out a bit :shifty:

Anyway after reading what i have missed i'm going to try that bit harder and start a food diary so i realise what i'm eating.

Lovely to see TheyCallMeMrGlass ..have we told you lately that you are fab!!

Thought I'd update my CBT for the insomnia. I've been finding it very hard getting up. Every morning I wake up ok, then go back to sleep and get up just in time for work. Yesterday didn't get up until 9.30 which was really late as I had an appointment to get to. So after that I ate rubbish like a horse all day and went to bed early.

Today, I got up at 8am 8O :P Been deep spring cleaning the Bathroom, throwing away all those bottles and jars I never use, all the out of date medicine etc.

Next on the agenda is to clear out my fling cabinet So next week hopefully I'll manage to get up as soon as the alarm rings.

Oh I've lost 1lb in weight :cool
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Well done on the weight loss Valda that is brilliant. I love sorting things out and I have just got rid of a desk on freecycle - a bit sooner than I had anticipated (it was on wanted so perfect opportunity and the young man who took it was very happy) and now have the entire contents of the desk in 7 carrier bags which I need to go through and get rid of at least 50% and will keep only what is necessary in my now rather thinned out cupboards, it uses up energy and makes you feel happy.

Allsinging I have the same problem as I was off work on Friday but Liquorice still insisted on getting up at 5.50am for his breakfast :noo: I'm not one to stay in bed but normally stay in until 7 when I'm off work.

Moviemann you have me now wanting a snowball but as I have given up chocolate for lent it isn't going to happen :tears:
