Well, for one thing I don't believe in giving things up, though if it works for others, great. And for another, being a bit clueless about the dates of some of these things, especially this year (for instance, I realised with horror yesterday that it must be half-term already - how hellishly below-the-belt!), I wouldn't have realised it WAS Lent, had it not been mentioned here!

What I do like to do at this time of year, rather than cutting back on food, and weather permitting, is to increase the amount of exercise I do, with a view to being back to walking all day as soon as possible. So I've been out twice in the last 4 days and have done 20+ miles both times, meaning I'm half-way there already. Just as long as it doesn't turn too wintry again and upset my schedule.

That is a fabulous achievement MsThrifty, you certainly have some stamina.
I won't even mention what I have eaten today but I have done a 4 mile walk to go out for lunch.

Got up bright and early and have done my Tracey Anderson DVD, its porridge for breakfast, ham salad sandwich for lunch and then I will be having a Starbucks panini with the lovely company of Rawr_xoxo in Birmingham today.

I will be out until about 9.30pm hence the early morning DVD plus its damage limitations for yesterdays spot of gluttony  but it was on the advice of ejwrank and allsinging that I ate cake and I trust the advice of those ladies. ;)

Thank you so much I had a really good day and rawr_xoxo is lovely. I hope that you have been busy having fun not too busy to relax.

I will eat healthily today but as I feel like my stomach is still on the megabus I won't be doing any exercise today (I had forgotten how rubbish I am on buses (I'm OK if I only eat something plain but a beef and cheese panini wasn't the wisest thing before a bus trip).
Hope everyone else has a good day o/

The half-marathon training is p*ying off - I've lost 1.4 lbs since my first weigh in months ago and my trousers fit a lot better around the mid section. :) Keep up the good work everyone, summer will be here before we know it!
