The Croods
Re: The Croods
I was sleepy yet the movie managed to keep me awake and even laugh at some points, cute characters and probably a really good movie for kids
6.5/10
Ps. A bit annoyed at the fact that the 3D settings weren't adjusted well at the begining but it got sorted and played from the start again

Brilliant film. Thoroughly enjoyed and surprised how many laugh out loud moments there were. Kids enjoyed it too. Would def recommend :)
Re: The Croods
So much funnier & appealing than Brave or Wreck It Ralph.
cannot understand why they didn't release this earlier, would have been my vote for best animated feature oscar.
9/10
ps the first 5 mins of film were virtually unwatchable as the 3d colours were screwed at nottingham too, causing a migraine-inducing pulse, but soon sorted (but film not restarted, which is a shame).

Re: The Croods
Such a shame they didnt restart your film. We had the exact same problem at Greenwich, except they restarted our film after loads of people got up to complain about the migraine-inducing effect loooolnewdot wrote:So much funnier & appealing than Brave or Wreck It Ralph.

I adored that film. So cute. I know some of my friends were unsure after seeing the previews, but I really enjoyed it.
Glad we didn't have a 3D problem in Wandsworth, although security made everyone turn off their phones at the door (and they all turned them right back on once they got inside) and would literally go running if they saw someone so much as check the time. It was very disruptive.

Yikes that sounds like the start to Oz The Great and Powerful last week (Greenwich I think it was?) it was really painful on the eyes.newdot wrote:ps the first 5 mins of film were virtually unwatchable as the 3d colours were screwed at nottingham too, causing a migraine-inducing pulse, but soon sorted (but film not restarted, which is a shame).

Re: The Croods
I did find the resemblance of "guy" to top gear's richard hammond quite striking...

Re: The Croods
I also thought Thunk looked kind of like a pudgy version of Josh Hutcherson. Anyone else see that?

Re: The Croods
apparently they had the same issue with Oz at Shaftesbury yesterday! Wondering now whether thet have faulty copies?!canadian_turtle wrote:Yikes that sounds like the start to Oz The Great and Powerful last week (Greenwich I think it was?) it was really painful on the eyes.newdot wrote:ps the first 5 mins of film were virtually unwatchable as the 3d colours were screwed at nottingham too, causing a migraine-inducing pulse, but soon sorted (but film not restarted, which is a shame).

Re: The Croods
I don't think it can be a "faulty copy" as some cinema re-showed film from the start when problem had been rectified. Probably just needed to twiddle some settings on the projector...stop me if I am getting too technical for you :)
