Anyone go to the Ballet tonight? Was it any good?
I am wondering whether to take my great aunt on Saturday if they release tickets for the remainder of the shows.

Unfortunately my parents were in London so could not get back for this tonight, I did not go as I know husband would not enjoy. Write ups - yes take your great aunt. Is that the aunt who was in hospital with her hip?Rainey wrote:Anyone go to the Ballet tonight? Was it any good?

Yes, she's doing really well now, almost 91, but she does love the ballet, it wouldn't normally be something I'd choose either, but I know she would really enjoy it, my mum took her for Christmas last year, so it's my turn now I guess!Doris wrote:Unfortunately my parents were in London so could not get back for this tonight, I did not go as I know husband would not enjoy. Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
considering that tickets cost £11, its cast are unknown, young up and comers, its going to be more of a Dracula Spectacular than a Stoker.RAZORBACK wrote:I've got tickets for Dracula @ Fairfield Halls on Saturday, has anyone been to see it (there were free tickets for last night's show) & if so is it worth the trip?...
(I was in Dracula Spectacular at school)
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I'm off to Canada for a few months (Montreal and Vancouver).
This is a long shot but does anyone know of anything similar to this forum (or showfilmfirst or audience club) in Canada?
It'd be great to catch some shows there and even better to see them free (or cheap).

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I'm not sure about Montreal but there was very little theatre when I was living in Vancouver, just what came along on a national tour and as such I never found offers for free tickets. Toronto is more the place to be for theatre but even there I never came across an offering for free tickets, just cheaper ones through T.O. Tix (the city's version of TKTS).
Enjoy Canada, Vancouver is the BEST city in the world! So clean and pretty and the people are the friendliest I've ever had the pleasure to meet :)

There are some, have relatives in Montreal and found the details for them some time ago, a quick google search should bring them up.

Can you give me a clue. I've tried googling and not found anything.Rainey wrote:There are some, have relatives in Montreal and found the details for them some time ago, a quick google search should bring them up.
(I can find lots of theatre listings but nothing like FMUK / SFF).
Any leads much appreciated.
@canadian_turtle - thanks for the bigup on Vancouver. We pretty much ended up going to Canada because Van is so often top of the list on best cities to live in. Can't wait!
