One of my favourite reads at the moment is The Suicide Shop by Jean Teulé. Really good dry sense of humour, easy read and I must've read it at least 5 or 6 times in the year since I b*ght it.

Life of Pi has to be my favourite book, it was just a beautiful book to read.

Can anyone recommend a box set for my 6 year old great nephew for his birthday, he has a reading age of 8. I want to spend about £20 but don't want a heavy book (my girls used to get b*ght stunning books from a friend but they were so heavy they had to read them sat at a table) as he reads in bed and carries a book with him when he goes to visit people? I am way out of touch as I've got girls and they are grown up. Thanks so much

I've used thebookpeople.co.uk a few times and they seem to have offers on box sets. Wimpy Kid is a good shout, my 10 cousin loves them.

The Horrid Henry and Roald Dahl boxed sets on there look really good too!

Thanks yogi, Canadian_Turtle and Andrews they all look brilliant and what good buys. I'm from an all female family, went to an all girls school and only work with girls (we do have male staff but I only see them at staff meetings) hence haven't a clue re boys.

Can I put in a vote for any poetry book by Michael Rosen. His poems are terribly funny -- great for reading aloud and parents will also be laughing along too. I used to see him shopping in our local Sainsbury's and I took my two (when small) saw him do a live performance which was unforgettable.
