I don't know about emails but they tweeted about it and I posted it in the 'cinema deals' thread.

Saw this tonight at Covent Garden Odeon. Glad I managed to get there early tonight.

From the trailers I was expecting a crime thriller pitting Ryan Gosling ( the robber) against Bradley Cooper( the cop). In a deadly game of cat and mouse. This is a whole different film to that.

As for the film I really enjoyed it. It's not going to be every ones cup of tea. It was more like a modern western. Blurring stereo types and good and bad through different peoples perspectives.

It was essentially a film of 3 acts which builds up to a Shakespearean/Greek tragedy. Where one's actions has an impact on their life.

Still a long film at 2hrs 20 mins.

I agree. I really expected them to pit Gosling against Cooper. Quite disappointed they didn't do that.
Also was gutted Gosling got killed off so early.
Nice to see you and lots of FMUKers earlier. Sorry we had to dash off after the film, we wanted to beat the queue for the loo!

Also at CG. Just made it as I got there as the crowds went in. Interesting concept of a movie, if not entirely successful. Fair to say, it was difficult to gauge which direction it was going and nothing like what you might expect from the movie poster. Quite liked the serpico-esque corruption theme with ray liotta and shame there wasn't more of him.

Further investigations I found out it was because Elle (the promoter) refused to p*y extra for those seats so our Odeon decided to give it to their card holders for 200 points. Which is nothing really. Turns out most of the seats were occupied by their staff members though.
The deal was mentioned in the email they send with your updated points balance and on Facebook and on the website.
