Saw this at a screening in Wandsworth - must have been about three-quarters full.

As a number of people have already mentioned, it's not bad, but it's just not scary enough. It's got a nice build up, and there's some pretty decent effects (of note: the director, Fede Alvarez, apparently has his own effects company, and they tried to do as much with prosthetics as possible, rather than CG, which is a nice echo of the original Raimi movies). The tension didn't really hit its stride until the last 10-15 minutes; though the final sequence was rather bonkers from a logic stand-point, it was nerve-wracking. It's just a shame this wasn't the case for the rest of the movie (though that nail gun looked pretty vicious!). It's probably worth seeing with an audience, especially for the groans and shrieks at the body-horror bits.

I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel, or at the very least what Alvarez and his team product next.

7/10 from me.

Saw this in Sheffield (thanks brum33) almost full. I really enjoyed it would have like it to be a little longer and I was gutted that
the singing, even though in trailer
was missing.

Will watch it again 8/10 would have been a 9 if it had not been cut.

Was this cut? According to the BBFC site, this was released uncut with no changes made (unless of course the production/distribution company edited it before submission for classification).

I don't usually go for this type of film, but didn't find it as scary as I thought it was going to be, I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

same here. Took me a lot of courage to go to see it. Found it least scary but too gory for me

Saw this at Enfield recently to a packed audience. I was a bit annoyed that we all had to be moved to another screen upstairs when they had projector problems, but these things happen and at least we still got to see the film.

I purposely didn't read the hype about the film prior to seeing it but hoped it would be a modern version with all the scary and funny bits included in the originals. I thought the possessed twitching was quite comical but no other real humour apart from that. It wasn't scary either just a lil bit gory. It was a fair crack but most of the best bits were in the trailer.

I also missed the post-credit scene so if anyone has a link for it please post it, the one listed earlier has been removed. o/

Saw this in Wycombe! One of the most relentlessly gory films I've seen in ages! Spectacularly gory! Bloody fun! I wouldn't mind seeing it again already! In many ways better than the original (acting) but wasn't as scary as Raimi's. Perhaps that's because I'm older. Still, if you're a horror fan, I highly recommend this!
