stands up well to a 2nd viewing , theres a fair bit more detail than you'd think in the movie and 2d meant a not so dark screen which helped, I think. It was never meant to be a banquet of a movie (well except for one scene), and as it is, its a perfect appetizer for Phase 2.

The ending was not a massive twist as advertised.

Undiscovered tribes in the amazon would have known what was coming!!!!

I'd say Iron Man for a buzz or Mud for something deep that you can get stuck into.

or suprise combo - stay in and watch Mud Men.

Just read some reviews over at rottentomatoes.com. Mud it is. Iron Man 3 will have to wait for dvd release.

Enjoyed this a lot, thought it was fun and I'm hoping that in the 75 minutes of cut finished footage there's more to the story. Parts of it felt rushed while others kind of dragged, but having so much love for the comics there were so many elements that annoyed me a bit.
Mandarin is obviously the biggun' here, with him being pretty much Iron Man's arch nemesis in the comics I was so looking forward to seeing him on the big screen. If felt like a waste of a villain considering they're bringing magic into the MCU in Phase 3. They could've adapted a different villain or created someone new rather than playing with the fans in this way.

Aldrich Killian was essentially Mallen but adapted seeing as Alrdich killed himself in the comics.

I felt the concept of AIM was underused and I would've liked to have seen their link to Hydra

Extremis was poorly used. Considering it's supposed to give any ability you could imagine it was a bit annoying to only see a fire based ability in place, would've been fun to see loads of different types of extremis bad guys running around.
There were other annoyances but those are the ones that really felt like they held the movie back a bit.

my only really genuine complaint is a lack of detail on the movie website, I was hoping to go all fanboy when I got home checking out a guide to all the suits of armor there are in the new movie. Alas, not a hint of detail on the Iron Legion on the official website, just a crummy gallery.

Didn't hate this, love Tony Stark, he is so funny. Haven't seen 2, but glad I saw the Avengers, really helped a lot.
