Stuffed my face with pancakes for Fathers Day treat last night. Why am I on self-destruct? I lost 3 pounds last week - all back on in one night's gluttony. I am ashamed of myself. Now it will take another week or more to get those 3 pounds back off. Just call me yo-yo.

I've been on self-destruct for a while.
Put on about a stone in the past few months due to stress and my exhibition stuff going on so not having any time to exercise in between all the 'celebration' meals including fathers day yesterday.
Really need to get my arse into gear.
Aiming to do exercise every day this week and im not treating myself till I go on holiday in 3 weeks! (she says hopefully but lets face it, it probably wont happen)

Heyyy i'm so glad you enjoyed it D :) Thanks for actually making the effort to make it , it makes posting it all worthwhile :)

As with all the other recipes this one can be tweaked according to your own taste too, some people make it with less tomato and more onion, some people add more chill for extra heat , you can even add half teaspoon of garam masala powder right at the end when it has finished cooking to make it even more spicier . Different vegetables will also work with this , cauliflower and carrots work especially well , even a bit of sweetcorn too if you fancy a sweet type of curry.

The recipe as with all cooking is only limited by your imagination, so keep at it and keep improving and let me know of any new ideas or suggestions you discover too just like you did with the tandoori recipe :)

Enjoy round 2 of it tonight :) the flavours as with all curries with develop even more overnight so it should actually taste even better today :)

Curry, chilli and homemade soup are always better the next day. I put some spinach through mine Diane, i love spinach in a veg curry. Thanks Moviemann again! Getting the right base is fantastic and I've always been a bit trial and error especially with creamy curries.
Well scoffed out, had 2 puddings ( hot fudge cake/ice cream and eton mess) and lost weight. My body is it's own kind of special I tell you! I did swim and muck about for nearly 2 hours in the pool though and my roast dinner wasn't bad calorie wise as I make so many vegetable side dishes. Whacked the leftover broccolli and peas in my curry ;)

Andrews and rawr, you can both do it!! Just pick a day and start over! I don't think the pancakes will have done that much damage Andrews and Rawr, I stress eat when I'm tired and busy. Make sure you're getting enough sleep!!

Girls we all have an indulge from time but as Moggers says today is a new day o/

No worries Moggers ! Just also remember that with the base if your making a meat curry then be sure to add ginger too when adding the garlic (the same amount of ginger as the garlic) , you can even add ginger to veg currys if you wanted , it will give it a stronger flavour which is why some people dont use ginger with veg or fish dishes , but hey, i know you are an accomplished chef in the kitchen and you know what your doing so i'm sure you will turn this simple recipe into something spectacular, skys the limit ! Dont forget to share your ideas please, the spinach idea is brilliant , i have done this in the past too :)
