I like your menu for today Diane. I have been having a banana and cereal each morning although there is carbs in the cereal the banana keeps me feeling fuller for longer than a slice of toast. Salmon fillet with salad at lunch and a yoghurt and a peice of fruit before going out for tonight's film which is an early start.

Weighed myself and have put on 3 pounds over the last week while on holiday - cooked breakfasts every morning are killers but taste good! :noo:

Back to the walking and swimming more over the next few weeks before away on holiday again.

My Australian relatives go home today so will start back tomorrow as back at work. I'll probably get a row from my fitness pal for not logging in for so long lol

Very healthy meals Biggins and I hope your fitness pal doesn't give you a hard time Moggers.

Today will be a rest day as working until 6.30pm and then have to to pick up my cat from the vets (having another procedure) so will be late when I eat.

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with banana and raspberries (200 calories as small banana but now feeling very hungry - 1 hour to go until I can eat)
Ham salad roll followed by a yoghurt (320 calories)
Cereal bar (150 calories) as will be eating on the way to the vets so can't eat anything else in the car.
Tesco light choices chilli (450 calories) An apple (80 calories)

Lots of water too. What is everyone else up to?

Good morning and I must say I was hungry for most of the day yesterday due to having too small a breakfast so I won't be doing that again. Due to a £600 vet bill (One cat has a bucket on his head as he has a rash and the other one has fur missing as she has fluid drained off her lung yesterday but both full of life Rosie playing out and Liquorice livid with his bucket) I will be having to work some mega hours to replenish my current account but won't use that as an excuse not to fit in exercise I will see it as a challenge.

Menu of the day:
Belvita biscuits and a yoghurt (300 calories)
Chicken roll (my mother made it hence no salad  ) and a banana (400 calories)
Coffee and a cake as treat day (I'm guessing 600 calories)
Snack at bedtime.

I will do my DVD as soon as I have digested my cake although I would rather go for a walk but I need toning up more.
How's everyone else getting on?

HI Guys o/

Great to see everyone posting so regularly recently !

I have a new recipe today, its a dessert recipe and its something i made yesterday and it always turns out soooooo delicious that i thought i simply had to share here ! its VERY easy too ! But be aware its NOT healthy at alllllllll so treat yourselves only if you deserve it :P :D

All the ingredients except one can be found in any kitchen and i'm sure everyone has them already, the only ingredient you will need to b*y is this

http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-com ... _200g.html ,

they are available everywhere at the moment including asda tesco sainsburys , only 35p

so, ingredients

-1 packet vermicelli (as above link)
-A third of a block of butter (better the quality the better)
-6 pints whole milk (organic is best but normal milk is perfectly fine too)
-6-7 green cardamoms (use a spoon or flat side of a knife to split them open, just place the flat side of the knife onto the cardamom and give it a good smash down with your hands, that will split it open nicely, use both the shell and also the seeds inside in the dish )
-Quarter to third of a packet of sugar (depending on how sweet your tooth is ) so 250-350 grams

so, really easy , melt the butter into a pot and add all the split cardamoms (splitting them open releases a lot more flavour) , once the butter has heated and starts foaming add the vermicelli (lightly crush it up in your hands to make it into smaller pieces before adding), keep stirring and once the vermicelli have coated in the butter and have started to darken slightly add all of the milk and then the sugar. keep stirring the whole thing until the milk comes a to a boil. Once boiled switch the heat off and let it rest. Once everything has settled its ready to be served hot. Its really nice when its cold too.

Please do try this recipe, as it really is an amaaaaaazing sweet dish ! Enjoy !! :)

ps you also add almonds and pistachios to this dish too, some people even add dried fruits too .

:)

Ooh that sounds good! I love puddings.. Maybe too much lol
Hectic at work so no gym today, might try for Friday but having a pamper party at the weekend so cleaning the house frenzy might just have to take it's place!

Me too and I also like cooking so it will have to be on my treat day. The pampering party sounds lovely.

Menu of the Day:
Porridge (300 calories) I know its not the weather but trying to have a variety of food
Houmous with 6 jacobs savours followed by an apple (320 calories)
Tesco light choices chicken breast with tomato and basil (on offer at the moment for £1.87 for 2 breasts so cheaper than doing it yourself) served with green beans, carrots and 2 Jersey royal potatoes (400 calories) as per Monday as still have veg etc left so if I don't cook it it will be wasted.
I'm working 8 until 8 today so will have a cereal bar as I'll get hungry (150 calories)

I will do a walk tonight as will be too late after I've eaten to start a DVD as it wakes me up. My legs feel quite weak today probably due to the lower calories and increased exercise but they will have to get used to it!

What is everyone else having to eat today plus the exercise? Have fun everyone o/

Diane, I finally got my hands on calipers yesterday and now I've got the results. I've taken a four point measurement and apparently my bodyfat is 15-17%.

Although it is roughly what I was expecting (a bit better, actually) I'm quite disappointed as it has highlighted just how much fat I am carrying on my mid-section, which may be a result of being much heavier in the past combined with doing a desk job for a living. Although my bodyfat % is comparitively low, the amount of fat stored on my mid-section has skewed the results somewhat.

Guess I'm going to have to clean up my diet quite a bit more and revise my exercise routine. :wall:

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who posts on the WW thread here. Although I'm not the most prolific of posters here, I do visit regularly and seeing everyone and how they're getting on really helps keep me motivated.

15-17% is like an athletes body which is brilliant so don't be knocking yourself Mr Milton :nono: Mine is 22% so I'm carrying a heck of a lot more than yourself (I know I'm a girl but still I'm in the in shape category not the athlete like yourself).

I got up a bit late for work yesterday hence didn't post.

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with raspberries and a banana (300 calories)
Hummous with chilli (its £1 a tub but does 4 servings hence end up having the same nearly everyday so good on calories and the pocket) on jacobs savours followed by a Weight Watchers fromage frais (300 calories)
Tesco light choices chicken tikka masala (450 calories) An apple (70 calories - I'm sad enough to weigh it and work out the calories  )

Not sure re exercise today as doing a massive clear out so will be doing physical exercise. We had a floor put in the loft 2 years ago plus my father in law passed away so we ended up dumping all the stuff from the loft and his home in the playhouse, shed and garage so they are all very full (OH wouldn't let me throw anything away as he is sentimental (I don't mean I'm hard but you can't keep everything plus if anything happened to us it would be hideous for someone else to sort out) and a hoarder (he's kept his books from college and he is 53 :wall:) but it needs to be done and he's agreed to let me do it) did the playhouse last weekend and now the turn of the shed - I love sorting out so I'm a happy girl :D Sorry I went on a bit then

What is everyone else up to today? Keep the motivation going o/ Can't wait to try Moviemanns dessert but may have to wait a couple of weeks for my next treat day as away next weekend so will be indulging then.
