I'm now off work until Monday with no plans so thought that I would have a rest as I'm always on the go. I've had enough resting already so have decided to go to Rivington Pike (never been there in my life as always head off to Derbyshire as hilly unlike cheshire which is completely flat hence giving Lancashire a go plus wanted to keep to about 30 minutes drive as spend forever in my car) following one of the AA walks and I can try out my new summer walking boots. Just printed off the details and it finishes at a tea shop  I am going to be good and take a healthy picnic although a nice cake sounds good but defeats the object.

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with a banana and strawberries (250 calories)
Ham salad sandwich, ritz crackers or a cereal bar plus an apple (400 calories)
Tesco light choices mushroom stroganoff followed by a weight watchers fromage frais (500 calories)

Have fun at the Gym Moggers and I take it that Biggins will be swimming. Eumenides where are you? I know that johnmilton is busy with his German volume training but keeping it a secret as to what it is, Baty is still on holiday and Andrews is being a tad elusive since she returned from her holiday. Have a fun day everyone o/ Please keep posting activities and menus then we can spur each other on. The focused person that I was last year seems to have disappeared with 2012

Enjoy your walk Diane! And I really do think you can indulge in a bit of cake eating at the end of all that exercise and diet picnic eating. But then again, I am always the one advocating cake so really do NOT belong on the Weight Watchers topic at all.

Enjoy your walk Diane. o/ no swimming today - was there yesterday. Hospital appointment at the eye Diabetic clinic this morning and then meeting caitlinmorton this afternoon as she is up from London for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival until Friday. Hope we recognise each other from descriptions!! But got mobile numbers in case we don't see each other in the crowds.

Weather is nice at present today so may have time for a walk later.

Sorry, Diane! I wasn't ignoring you, I just wanted to sit dowwn at my laptop to write a response rather than trying to do it on my phone!

I must say, I'm rather jealous of your plans for a bit of a walk!

That looks hard and I take my hat off to you. The bit of a walk ending up being a massive hike up the Pennines I got a bit lost plus DD was suffering from moaningitis. When we eventually reached the summit the views were spectacular. Only just got home from 11am this morning feel physically shattered which is good.

That sounds like a great way to spend your day, Diane! I've given blood this afternoon and I'm using that as my excuse to take it easy. Subsequently, I've hammered a massive amount of turkey fajitas tonight! Minus the cheese and soured cream, of course!

Well did the vibro plate, 20 mins on the cross trainer and a wee leisurely stroll with DD and DS with some hopping, skipping and jumping :)

i really need some encouragement and help. i don't mind telling you guys that i'm not in the best way at the moment and am on meds to help me :( :(

it's making everything very difficult including my eating habits because I don't care about anything. i'm supposed to eat three times a day at set times - right now i can't even manage that let alone manage to make good choices.

i want to re-join the gym and not go to the local sports centre because it doesn't inspire me and i just can't bring myself to go swimming there because it feels icky. i'm just not sure i can afford it :/ but i really need to be going swimming for lots of reasons (mental health, help with my long term injuries and general wellbeing and health)

i wonder if there's a way i could get them to reduce the fee - does anyone know if you can haggle or change their normal fixed fees?

So sorry to hear that you are not in a good place at the moment and there is a lot of us on here who will be around to give encouragement and moral support (I take it that you have medical support as you are on meds ). Just noticed your ticker and that is brilliant what you have achieved. Do they do exercise on prescription in your area? They offer different exercise programmes depending on what is required for your health, it is generally used by people on a weight management programmes, coronary care patients, post injury and to prevent falls but mental health could be incorporated as exercise is proven to have a massive impact on mental health and you will need lots of support to get you into the right place not only on the exercise front but on the healthy eating front. I admire yourself and Biggins plus others for being so upfront about your medical conditions as I'm sure that a lot of people reading these threads will be encouraged by you both and how you still manage to achieve your goals. o/

Hope that things went well at the clinic Biggins and moggers that you did your vibro plate.

I have no idea what happened to me yesterday I was ravenous the whole day and couldn't/didn't stop eating  My body was so tired from the Pennine walk on Wednesday that I didn't have the strength to do my DVD but was productive in other ways. I finally cleared out the remainder of my garage so ended up with another 4 trips to the tip (the rest now just needs to be organised and put on freecycle) so that was using a bit of physical energy then I plonked myself down and watched Chocolat and sewed my net curtains for my shed which were looking a bit scruffy (heading was coming apart) mainly to stop me eating as doing something with my hands. Still deciding what to do with my free day as its annual leave I don't want to do regular housework, I don't mind doing big jobs but feel I'm wasting the day if I don't do something a bit more special/different.
