Re: Weight Watchers
I would have quite enjoyed seeing it but 1 I didn't have tickets and 2 it would be mean to ask for some as a lot of people wanted to see it more than myself.moggers wrote:I only had a few! Oh my goodness my head is bursting, kids loved it!
Menu of the day:
Milkshake with raspberries and a banana (250 calories)
Chicken sandwich and a yoghurt (350 calories)
Vegetable chilli with turnips, butternut squash, green beans and red peppers - loads left from yesterday (400 calories)
I will either do my DVD or Tiffany Rothe workout - I am feeling tired today which is not like me it maybe all the stress of DD and University which is now 2 weeks earlier than planned plus my car overheating (as I plan/work way too much have no time to even go and look for a new car - it was actually only a minor fault and quickly sorted but as you probably know me by now I can't stand not being in control of things and maybe all this things that I have got no control over wore me out
Have a fun day everyone

Re: Weight Watchers
Incredibly, I appear to have lost a pound at my weigh-in today. I can hardly believe it, especially after the cocktail sausages and hobnob incidents. I'm feeling very fortunate indeed.
Well that's the first pound lost,
just another 40 to go now
The longest journey starts with the smallest step!
Today's Menu.
I've decided to reduce my fresh coffee intake and drink more water instead from today.
1. Porridge, semi skimmed milk, black grapes.
2. Beetroot spelt risotto.
3. Mixed salad leaves, radishes, half a boiled egg, spring onions, red/green/yellow peppers, large grilled chicken breast with balsamic glaze, croutons, Parmesan shavings.
4. Earl Grey tea with lemon, One slice of wholemeal toast with smoked mackerel pâté.
Sorry to hear that you've been feeling stressed and tired Diane. You are always on the go. Make sure that you rest up and take it easy for a bit. Nice to see you continuing with the healthy vegetables.
How is Aruif and everyone else doing? Take care everyone!

Re: Weight Watchers
Well done Preston1990 a 1lb is brilliant
Thanks also for your kind words - I actually like being on the go and being put under a bit of stress (I like a challenge) it is just when you don't know what the situation is so can't get a strategy in place in my head to deal with it (hope that makes sense
). Just read what I have written and I sound like I'm mad
What's the beetroot spelt rissoto? Sounds good and if you have the time please can I have the recipe?

If you don't have a pressure cooker and/or sufficient time to prepare this using the above method, why not try this useful shortcut:
http://www.waitrose.com/shop/ProductVie ... lt+risotto
I will leave you to guess which method I used today
Follow this link Diane, and all will be revealed:Diane65 wrote:What's the beetroot spelt rissoto? Sounds good and if you have the time please can I have the recipe?

Re: Weight Watchers
You are all doing well! A pound lost is a brilliant start Preston. I had got out of the habit of weighing myself and so weighed myself yesterday morning as I had tried on a pair of trousers that I intending wearing for my holiday abroad in September and found the waist band tight. Scales revealed I had put on 5lbs in the last month!!!

So new regime started again today. Was swimming yesterday morning(outdoor pool) and walked to and from the cinema this morning (was using one of my sky/Cineworld vouchers).
Breakfast was a small bowl of special K and a small chopped banana. Lunch had a bowl of my homemade Cauliflower and Broccoli soup. Tonight is smoked fish with 2 small potatoes and a side salad of watercress, tomato and spring onions. A yoghurt before bed tonight.

Re: Weight Watchers
When I was staying at a hotel last week had Courgette, Pea and Mint soup with small crumbs of feta cheese in it. Asked for recipe and was told it was just courgettes and an onion boiled down in veg stock, add a handful of peas and some chopped mint. Blitz and then add some crumbled feta cheese. Add a couple of shredded mint leaves on top when serving.
It was really delicious so must try and make it soon - although it will just be me eating it as hubby doesn't like courgettes.
