Thanks from me too and I will certainly be trying thisSydney_Bristow wrote:biggins wrote:When I was staying at a hotel last week had Courgette, Pea and Mint soup with small crumbs of feta cheese in it. Asked for recipe and was told it was just courgettes and an onion boiled down in veg stock, add a handful of peas and some chopped mint. Blitz and then add some crumbled feta cheese. Add a couple of shredded mint leaves on top when serving.
It was really delicious so must try and make it soon - although it will just be me eating it as hubby doesn't like courgettes.
Sounds yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

Re: Weight Watchers
Today was crap, completely out of control but I was stressed out of my head. My lovely sister has scored a brilliant new job which is awesome, unfortunately it means that she can't look after the wee chap for me so child wrangling stress today trying to get an extra day at nursery. So cake sale was on, that was what I was making the tablet for (our family support charity) and I scoffed and scoffed and then scoffed again. Really need to reign this eating in but going to Leeds on friday to see my favourite band in the world so will attempt to be better tomorrow and start hardcore exercise and diet on Monday or I'll never get past this weight.

Re: Weight Watchers
Stress is a killer and you deserved cake. It's when you are in situations like this when you have no control over something which was all sorted and organised that you need cake. I've done no exercise as was too tired/lazy but now that I know what I've got to do (cause of stress etc) and how long to do it I'm happy as I am on a mission to get it all sorted. So off to bed now for an early night and I'll wake up refreshed.moggers wrote:Today was crap, completely out of control but I was stressed out of my head. Re: Weight Watchers
Weighed in this morning at 189lbs so that's 21lbs off since January.
Not doing so well with exercise this week as I've just started in a new office and my commute and routine aren't quite established yet! However, I've been keeping on top of my diet and think that's been the major factor for me.

Hope you like your new office and it will take a while to establish a pattern.I'm sorry about the moan yesterday about being stressed/tired/lazy
Menu of the day:
Special K (300 calories)
Chilli hummous and 6 Jacob cracker bread followed by a yoghurt (300 calories)
Sweet potato and cottage cheese (400 calories as potato is huge) peach (50 calories) I was going to have salad with it but I've got none in
I will do my DVD today as arms aren't looking good - no good for wearing dresses.
What is everyone else up to?

That is fantastic John - Well Done! - I feel quite inspired by hearing of your successJohn Milton wrote:Weighed in this morning at 189lbs so that's 21lbs off since January.![]()
Sorry to hear about your stressful day Moggers, it sounds awful! - sometimes things like this happen where you just plain deserve cake. No arguments - You can always catch up with the diet over the next few days.moggers wrote:Today was crap, completely out of control but I was stressed out of my head.
biggins wrote:You are all doing well! A pound lost is a brilliant start Preston. I had got out of the habit of weighing myself and so weighed myself yesterday morning as I had tried on a pair of trousers that I intending wearing for my holiday abroad in September and found the waist band tight. Scales revealed I had put on 5lbs in the last month!!!![]()
So new regime started again today. Was swimming yesterday morning(outdoor pool) and walked to and from the cinema this morning (was using one of my sky/Cineworld vouchers).
Biggins, thanks for the congrats.biggins wrote:When I was staying at a hotel last week had Courgette, Pea and Mint soup with small crumbs of feta cheese in it. By chance I b*ght some courgettes a couple of days ago - I'm gonna try making that tomorrow. Thanks for posting the recipe!
Today's Meals
1. Porridge, semi skimmed milk, blackberries.
2. Crunchy salad with ham, boiled egg, brie, splash of balsamic.
3. Cappuccino
4. Jacket potato, baked beans.
5. Tea and toast.
I'm drinking loads of water today.
Pleased to say that I felt motivated enough to go for a 2 hr, 20 odd mile, bike ride by myself (something which I usually hate doing) this morning. It wasn't too bad actually - hopefully I'll get out a bit more myself in future rather than having to wait for my mates to decide they will go.
Be good, but most of all be happy, everyone!

Re: Weight Watchers
21lbs lost is brilliant John Milton.
Keep up the good work.
Today's menu:
Breakfast was a bowl of special K and a pear (forgot to b*y bananas!) cup of tea.
A medium latte at Costa coffee when out in the town this morning looking for new shoes! (Needed the coffee after trekking round so many shops till I found what I was looking for.)
Lunch had a plate of my homemade lentil and bacon soup. And a yoghurt.
Tonight stir fry chicken with sweet and sour sauce and rice.
Before bed having two oatcakes with butter and a cup of tea.
Started to drink more water again as that was another thing I had got out of the habit of doing.
Not much exercise today apart from the walking round the shops and of course the usual housework.

Re: Weight Watchers
I am so glad I started at Slimming World. Exactly 4 weeks I've been going and I've lost 11 lbs! I'm eating heaps of food too.
congrats to Milton John that is such a huge achievement, I can't wait till I lose that amount. Hopefully now all the floor moves have taken place, I'll be less stressed, and carry on eating properly.
