Went to see this tonight and really liked it but I did think it was more of an amusing rather than laugh out loud comedy.

However, still an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours so worthy of a 7/10 from me...

Hilarious film! Plenty of laughs to be had, but with some heart warming moments out the end.

8/10 (extra for the genius outtakes)

It used to be a damning judgement when a review suggested that the outtakes were better than the film....apparently no longer.

ps not even convinced that the outtakes were "real"....see spoiler below
given music rights clearance & the huge payments that go along with them, cynical-old-me is not convinced that the "friends" outtake is genuine...and if that is the case (if), then casts doubt over others///for me at least

Jason Sudeikis said when he introduced the film that everyone was in on the joke apart from Jennifer Aniston. I get involved with music rights for corporate videos and there's no reason they would alter what is recorded on set. If cost was prohibitive then it just wouldn't have been used and cost nothing. It's not like the theme from friends is by the Beatles or led zep! What is annoying is the few critics who spoiled the joke in their reviews
I have read an interview with the director who tells the same story....still not convinced.

It reminds me of that old trick of comedians...doing the "fake corpse" to illicit laughs from the audience (bob mortimer from Vic Reeves & Bob mortimor is a passed master at this & even Ernie Wise was not above doing this)

But, hey, i could be wrong, Still think that if outtakes > movie...then movie not great.
