It's the first time it's happened to me there and I haven't been there for a preview since so I couldn't say for sure.Beate wrote:Really, gosh. I have never experienced that there before - are they clamping down?

Re: Kick-Ass
Yesterday the staff seemed to be focusing on mobiles rather than printouts - I could have handed over any old piece of A4 as the man didn't even unfold it, let alone read it or ask if I was the person named. But they all went on and on about mobiles. I'd sat in what is usually a good place but unfortunately several security staff were standing right behind me for the 40 - 45 minutes before the film started, and they drove me mad with their chattering, jumping about and blocking out my light (I was trying to read). I thught if they didn't move away when the film started, I'd never be able to concentrate. Next time I must remember to sit somewhere more secluded!

Re: Kick-Ass
Yeah, I was there since 6pm. But I was waiting for my friend, he came at 6:35pm but the screen was full by then (apperently since 6:15ish!). So theoretically having a ticket does not guarantee entry. I actually asked the Usher how comes its full and his reply was that SFF always give out more tickets than there are seats! The funny thing is he was so defensive and quickly told me to take it up with them. I actually asked him politely out of curiousity not intending to make any fuss but the poor fella was so paranoid from others abusing him!
I wouldnt be able to go next Tuesday as I have college lecture in the evening...
But its ok, its a film I dont mind p*ying for and seeing with a pumped up audience on its premiere release

Re: Kick-Ass
Really, I got no lecture about mobiles from anyone, but one security woman must have interpreted my wave to bevvy differently and asked me something about reserved seats or sitting together or I am not sure what she was on about but it came out of nowhere and I thought do they have time to ask everyone with whom they want to sit?

Re: Kick-Ass
Its a fair suspicion. But actually the screen was full since about 6:20pm as there were many more of us queueing outside around that time and all were turned away. It wasnt just a few people, it was Many!kevinknapman wrote:tilly wrote:because it was full?TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:And in some cases you cant get in even if you do have a ticket, so I discovered yesterday...!
It definitely wasn't full. There were a few seats nearer the front at the sides. Maybe they were being strict with latecomers for once.
