I am back!
Had a lovely time in Andalucia, Spain. Never ceases to amaze and surprise me, even though I have been going for years, always finding something new!
Spent a couple of days at Malaga's "Lake District" - Ardales Lakes and El Chorro, with its stunningly beautiful turquoise coloured lakes bordered by pine forests.

Also went to the charming village of Júzcar, dubbed "Pueblo Pitufo" (or Smurf Town), painted blue to host the worldwide premiere of "The Smurfs" in 2011, and villagers voted it to stay blue. Fun and captivating.

hehe! I think the weather is delayed coming back with us! We did have such balmy, sunny weather, best time of year to go to Spain, around the 26-28 degreesC, nothing like the 30-40degrees in the height of summer!

It does look such a beautiful place and so happy that you had a lovely time. It's not somewhere that I had ever thought of visiting (no reason for not thinking of it) but I will certainly put it on my list of places I want to visit.

So I have 8 vacation days to use before the end of the year, and have no clue what to do with them. I know it sounds silly, but I'm really bad with planning my time off - haven't been on real vacation in over 10 years! What to do alone and on a limited budget? Any suggestions?

Do you want a few separate trips, day trips, a few days holiday in the UK or abroad? A full week away, train trips or coach trips. Got loads of ideas and suggestions as I'm bad in the other way forever planning things to do on my days off. If you give me a few ideas of your likes I'll come up with ideas.

Aww, thank you Diane65! I would love to spend a few days in Paris, just wandering around, eating croissants and drinking hot chocolate. But the cost of accommodation frightens me a bit, lol, which is why I'm thinking maybe a couple of day trips just to get out of London :)

Martadelas: take a look at livingsocial. Husband told me there were lots of good deals on there for overnight stays at moment.
