Those were late February last year though. I remember because they went across Oscar Weekend!elski wrote:Usually the BAFTA screenings come along in one packed week to up our totals. Hopefully they're doing them again.

Do you have some special power, elski? After your hols, could you use it to get us lots of free previews, please!elski wrote:February's fine with me, I'm on holiday next week .... maybe SFF knew about this ...![]()

Re: Lack of free previews...
And while you're at it, elski, could you please ensure these previews are open to all, with no membership requirements? At present, what there is seems to be based on newspaper subscriptions I don't have, so I can't take the risk of travelling. Oh yes, and on that subject, some locations near me for a change would help!McG wrote:Do you have some special power, elski? Re: Lack of free previews...
The only venue I can get to, Ipswich, hardly ever seems to come up, although I did manage to see Walter Mitty & Mandela on two consecutive days in December
Anyone know what factors influence where screenings are held? I realise Ipswich only having one Cineworld is a factor, but it's 11 screens to me that's not small unless other cinemas are generally bigger than that and I didn't realise?
Regionally Norwich comes up sometimes but I don't think i've seen Colchester either. So is it a regional thing?
I don't expect Ipswich to come up as often as somewhere like London or Glasgow but it seems screenings are really infrequent there even taking that into account.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.
