THE SHOWCASE OF "ZANETTO" A New Play By CLAUDIO MACOR
On TUESDAY 1st of APRIL 2014 at 1pm AT THE ARTS THEATRE WEST END with
BRADLEY CLARKSON
DAVID HUNTER
TARA DIXON
SUZY BASTONE
ADAM McNAB
TOM FAVA
KELLY CLARE
JAMES DARCH
"ZANETTO"
ITALY. Turn of the century. Villa Elba stands in the Venetian countryside at the foothills of the Alps. COUNT LUCA DANUSSI'S love for his wife, the COUNTESS LIVIA, has no bounds. His grief having lost her in childbirth has no end. He never loves again. Instead he makes a new life for himself helping people: giving land to farmers, opening a school, housing the homeless and... keeping the Mafia at bay. An "everyman" the whole region affectionately nicknames: ZANETTO
"ZANETTO" A NEW PLAY
A true story of a man in Italy where religion has an iron grip, passions run high and life is like an Opera. A world that highlights the appalling treatment of women by religion. A story that is romantic, funny and full of hope. THE TRUE STORY OF MY GREAT GRANDFATHER....after all, WE ARE WHAT WE WERE. Join Claudio & cast as we bring the play to life for the first time on a Spring afternoon at the Arts Theatre.
