Saw this tonight at a special screening at 20th Century Fox offices.

It was absolutely terrific. Loved it. So X-citing!

Shame so many characters, but not enough screen time. But all my faves are there. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine/Logan is fantastic, so is McAvoy and Fassbender, and their older versions, Stewart and McKellen, and so is Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. And Quicksiver, that was brilliant. A real treat of a film. Stay till the end of the credits, the scene is just awesome. 9/10

Can't wait to see it again tomorrow! :giggle:

I thought I would go and see this over the Bank Holiday weekend. Not a big fan of 3D, I tried to book a 2D ticket. Imagine my surprise to find that only 3D are available, the only day 2D tickets are available are on opening day Thursday. Not very impressed with Cineworld.

I am having a similar issue as the timings of the 2D screenings are infrequent and inconvenient (for me).

I believe there are a few people seeing it tonight at a London screening so I am hoping they can advise if it is worth seeing in 3D.

That sounds like the listings (for next week) hadn't been added at the time that you checked (my local cineworld has plenty of 2D screenings over the bank holiday weekend)...

It isn't. I actually took the glasses off a few times.

The Mountain Dew screening tonight is well planned with lots of activities beforehand and instant prizes, mountain dew drinks, popcorn, haribo star mix, costumes to dress up in for the green screen, Empire magazine, and a copy of oneself on the cover :giggle:

This was even better on a second viewing, enjoyed it even more, was even more engrossed and fascinated, as did not need to dwell on the story but just enjoyed the action and amazing effects, and my fave part, the Quicksilver scene. Also the usual 3D glasses were much more comfortable than the clunky, heavy ones we were given by 20th Century Fox yesterday which left marks on everyone's noses! I have to up my score to 9.5/10 - would have been 10/10 but Mountain Dew cut the credits to announce the winner of the twitter comp but technology did not work, so they could not show the winning tweet and, also meant we did not get to see the awesome end of credits clip! Boo, was looking forward to seeing that again too.

With regards to the 3D, I did notice some depth in the scenes, but I do not think it makes that much difference if watched in 2D.
