No of course not Annej! Well done! Especially, brilliant in how you recovered from short period of naughtiness :)

Will update spreadsheet later on. I failed to reach my target this time, lost 2.6lbs but that's still ok considering I did reach a plateau for a bit so hired a personal trainer to renew my program and diet. Nevertherless this is an opportunity for you girls to humiliate me back ;)

Glad to see how everyone is using a pedometer to drive their incentive to do better each time. It always helps. A heart rate monitor which also measures calories is even better. If I ever see a good bargain for one, I'll let you all know. Admittedly they cost much more than a pedometer, at least £25+.

Any one know how to poach an egg? Never did it before and its in my new diet menu. So I google it up and found this hilarious journey of someone's mission of repeating famous chefs methods of poaching an egg. He finally came up with the perfect method which I'm going to try tomorrow. Poached eggs are lower in calories than a boiled egg and certainly a lot less than a fried egg. Of course ideally egg whites are the least calories

I believe the way to do it is to add vinegar to boiling water, swirl it round, so when you crack the egg in, it gives the egg a nice shape. Never works for me, so am planning to b*y an egg poacher cup thing along the lines of: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/F/product/12116

Lol, thanks I had to do something to redeem myself o/
MrGlass, that’s really good, well done, especially considering how much you've lost already :D

I must confess I’ve never cooked an egg, cooking is not my strong point

Ah that's the Vortex one, one of the methods shown that guy tried in my last link - never worked for him either. And that egg poacher is pretty much the same as his cling film method which gave the perfect result. I think your poacher cup will be even better, easier to place in the boiling water :)

@jmd, thats a damn good question but according to the calorie counting site, its about 13 calories less. Will try find to find out the science behind it...

Thats how I poach an egg but probably leave around 13 calories floating in the pan and it has a very odd shape, the cling film method looks good so I'll give it a go.
I've lost 2lbs so still on target but for some reason I have been feeling really hungry for the last couple of days so have to go to bed early to stop me pigging out!
Well done TheyCallMeMrGlass and AnneJ on your weight loss you two are flying whereas I'm just plodding along with the weight loss.

Hey Diane, drink a glass of skimmed milk between 9pm - 11pm if you still feel hungry. That does the trick and if you still feel hungry, then add a rice cake to it. During the day, drink lots of water, in between your meals. I know you cant have mid-morn and mid-aft meals but surely you can drink tea and water anytime, right...or is that also a restriction ?!? Sometimes hunger can be confused for hydration and water is what you really need.

But fantastic result for you though, you reached your target again! Spreadsheet coming up shortly :) Very Eggciting time! (groan)...alright, sorry was just trying to Egg every one on...
