:D Were you behind me in the queue and we started chatting? If you see me again, do say "hi". I can intro you to other FMUKERs ;) We normally sit towards the back, although, if it is an Q&A, I tend to veer more towards the front! :shifty:

Haha vonlance. I was also very polite to the cinema staff, just as ejwrank would be. I should add that FMUKers are very polite and fair, you know, even against animosity! LOL :shifty:

kevinknapman wrote:Pierce Brosnan gets a role with more humour than you'd expect as a shady Cockney who comes to the aid of the family on more than one occasion. He's clearly enjoying the chance to play a larger than life character and the film picks up a little whenever he's on screen chewing up the scenery. Sadly that isn't nearly enough.

Morally dubious with a fair few plotholes and contrivances, No Escape is nonetheless a competent and efficient thriller that does exactly what it sets out to do and does it well. Some will find it easier to overlook the slightly nasty taste it leaves in the mouth afterwards more than others however.
Yes, agree that there is not enough of Pierce Brosnan. Shame. He really lights up the screen. And you hit it on the nail for me, left a nasty taste in my mouth afterwards, with the one dimensional depiction of the locals. :X

Really enjoyed this and found it to be fast paced, nerve wracking and Owen Wilson, known more for light hearted comedy put in a great performance in an action role. Pierce Brosnan played quite a small role and as Biggins said he did look very like Mathew Kelly. lots of excitement and edge of the seat moments. 8/10

This was a real exciting watch. Owen Wilson and Lake Bell were both very good and Pierce Brosnan and his much travelled accent was having a whale of a time.

There are issues with the focus on the American family and the one dimensional locals and more could have been made of the story behind the uprising, but as a pure thrill ride this was very good 8/10

Brilliant film, there were a few uncomfortable scenes to watch but that added to it. Thought there could of been more of brosnan, although it was hard to take his accent seriously.

Back from Glasgow Cineworld. Pretty full screen which is encouraging. Totally enjoyed this non stop experience with Wilson and Bell believable as two parents trying to save their family from the coup and also within their own issues. Lots of action too. Agree that it was like The Impossible and not seeing the local's side to all this.

Had to tell the girl next to me to stop playing on her phone during the film. Totally disinterested in the film so why not leave instead? There were several people who left our screening during it. 7/10

We were first at WIQ and started a queue. Thankfully they seem to have given up asking you to wait in the bar. Had to hold a queue jumper in check! He'd already not gone to the end of the queue but lingered around in the middle, then tried to cut us up. A sharp "there's a queue here, mate" held him up long enough though!

Whoa. I had my heart in my throat and my hand over my mouth the entire time. Some of the scenes were very hard to watch. The woman next to me broke down in tears. I don't usually like Lake Bell but she and Owen Wilson were very good in their roles. I know these kind of films but I really wasn't sure whether they were going to make it!
Cinema was quite full and unfortunately we had some distracting people in the corner of our row.

After the film, I waved to OH coming out of the loo and cinefila1, whom I hadn't noticed till then, waved back! :D

Much better than I thought it'd be but not sure I'd be comfortable recommending it as you're better off just not being placed in that situation (which is kind of a poor message to be left with).
