Pleasantly surprised. Yes there are huge problems, but also some great visuals. Will defer final judgement until directors cut is released, but for now, a dandy 7/10.
Seems like the only way to have enjoyed this was to go in with little/no expectations. I must I went to watch this not expecting much and that's exactly what I got. The story seemed quite convoluted, the characters shallow and the dialogue bland. The visuals were good at times but for this type of movie, you tend to be wanting more than just a pretty picture.

3/10

Another way to see this is to go after suffering through a weird/ tedious/ boring film such as High-rise. This film was perfectly fine after that, I also had low expectations.

Captain America Civil War seems to get much for favourable reviews than Dawn of Justice

Every negative Dawn of Justice review points out that Superman doesn't act like he has in the past or meet whatever their own imaginary ideal is. I kind of worked that out a whole movie ago, it's one guys version of the character.

I enjoyed the movie regardless because it's big, weird and covers it's story limitations with it's own self-aware style.

The Marvel movies get favourable reviews because they're everybodys idea of how the characters should look and act, their limitations get overlooked because they look like conventional movies or reference other things that are familiar.
