Storks
So cute and adorable. The baby stole the film for me, but so many funny scenes, the wolf pack submarine, down to the beep, beep; the penguin fight with the knives; trying to get the baby asleep, and so on. It made me chuckle. Such a fun adventure! 9/10
Thanks for the company funthing. Shame the screening was only half full at Holloway Odeon, although when I checked this morning, just out of interest, it was still showing fully booked!
I also enjoyed the short funny animation before the film started of a Lego Chinese Kung Fu Master and a chicken!
The kids seems to have enjoyed Storks too, one little boy, I overheard, on the way out saying to his parents - "I just love this film!",

Re: Storks
I thought Storks was fab too. Total corollary to I, Daniel Bleak. Highly recommend this as a tonic to lift the spirits. Very bright. Very colourful. Very amusing. Nicely original.
I knew I came from a stork, but didn't know why that practice had seemingly ended.
Ha. So many of the babies had punk hair colours - I wondered if they were baby trolls. Remember trolls? Like gonks. Lol. Showing my age now.
Very amused how PC and with it the closing scenes were with babies getting delivered left, right and centre. Mixed race parents. Same sex parents. Even single parents. Lol. Didn't go unnoticed.
Great effort from Warner. Been a long while since we had anything cartoony from the home of Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry. Doesn't disappoint.

Re: Storks
Or booked 4 and only one turned up! It really makes me annoyed as there is a way to cancel 1, 2, or 3 tickets on the Times+ website.Sunny Saver wrote:I was on the waiting list and heard nothing. Did you check in your junk. My ticket went to junk when I was on the waiting list once, so of course I missed it! But it proves it works, as I did not think it worked, as never hear anything normally!

Re: Storks
In the past, my waiting list tickets have gone straight to the inbox. However, on your suggestion I did check. No tickets to Stork, but my dog has bad breath (probably my imaginary dog), I'm in need of Viagra, I've been left $10m by some stranger, someone needs my help of $10m, so they cancel each other out, and Ashleigh (I repeat Ashleigh not Ashley) wants to s@ck my d1ck (my imaginary one again)and I need new Anglican Windows. It's all go, go, go in my Spam folder.prettyxcool wrote:Or booked 4 and only one turned up! Re: Storks
An intriguing departure for Bad Neighbours 1&2 writer/director Nicholas Stoller (co-directing with ex-Pixar animator Doug Sweetland), this is a fairly effective animation that never fully achieves lift-off (sorry) but is a decent enough watch all the same.
Highlights included the wolfpack with Key & Peele voicing the alphas and the silent fight between the lead characters and the most sinister screen penguins since The Wrong Trousers.
Watchable if undemanding, it could have benefited from the smart touch of producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller to make it truly soar (sorry again).
If nothing else the short beforehand is now making me really look forward to the Lego Ninjago movie due next year.
Hilarious and with fantastic voicework from Justin Theroux as the Narrator and Jackie Chan as the Master (both of whom return for the full length feature), it's certainly worth arriving early for.

Re: Storks
Found it all very disappointing as the trailer had been very amusing.
Thought it very odd the babies had funky hair colours and the short film was dreadfully unfunny.
I hope Trolls isn't as poor.

Re: Storks
Wolfpack were great.
Film was ok.
The 5 year olds thought it was ok, but no real enthusiasm.
Probably fine for £2 on a kids showing at the weekend.

Re: Storks
It may not be up there with the very best animations of recent years, but it is still better than most.
Lots of good gags - and a few bad ones - but very well made.
