I was really looking forward to this animated film having seen the trailers but, as with most films, the trailers show much of the best parts. I expected so much of the film to focus on the auditions of all the different animals whereas this is a small part of the film as the story is pushed along. I did not really like the main character of Buster Moon(Matthew McConaughey) or his story until the end of course! The children in the audience seemed entertained but really only laughed at the toilet jokes.

I think it's no more than an average 5/10. It's a shame as it could have been much better.

My kids really enjoyed this, I thought it was ok but nothing special. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this again.
