Bon Jovi concert
Bon Jovi must be doing terribly. First they are given away some free tickets (I posted under free concert/theatre thread) and now I see ticketmaster is selling tickets for 5 pounds for some nights..

Re: Bon Jovi concert
Well every night I have been it has been completely sold out and you could not go to a better concert!
Ticketmaster actually have very few tickets for £5 and these are up in the Gods with restricted view so I can understand why fans would not want them.
They have afew floor seats still available at £111.00 each!

Re: Bon Jovi concert
probably the original horrendous prices that put people off. Selling £100+ pound tickets was taking the proverbial for two bands (one of them being the pedestrian Kid Rock), though i'd be happy to shell out up to £15 for them lol.

The original prices were no more horrendous than most of the big groups now charge. Concert tickets generally are way too much!

Re: Bon Jovi concert
yes thats true, its all about the market. its a bit like complaining about footballers being pa*d too much, i guess. but in my world (and currently as a student with family) its easy to forget that.
edit - the tickets were going for a fiver this afternoon on ticketmaster! near miss..

Re: Bon Jovi concert
They are doing an awful lot of dates - maybe all the really keen fans saw them early and now they are finding it harder to fill the place - and of course there is all the football going on.
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Bon Jovi but I imagine they would put on a good show and would have gone if the free tickets they offered me hadn't been for when I am away. I was passing the dome on Monday last week and thought I was imagining that I could see people out on top of it. I later learned that Bon Jovi had played up there!

Re: Bon Jovi concert
I wouldn't mind seeing Bon Jovi but the tickets are far too expensive and the best view is watching them on screen. My friend went on Monday and said they did not even play all their hits, I guess they were saving them for each night.

Re: Bon Jovi concert
They are going 12 nights in total at the O2 but bearing in mind they normally do the whole stadium thing and sell concerts in a number of locations in the UK.
As a fan, I have pa*d the price and eventually I will have seen them on 6 of the nights. The good thing is that they change the playlist every night so repeat fans do not see the same concert twice. I have to say they are excellent live and even non-fans come out buzzing - just ask Syd!
One thing to remember is that a no time during their concerts do they mime - the whole band are fully engaged throughout.

Re: Bon Jovi concert
There's a competition here to win tickets for the 23rd
http://www.lbc.co.uk/win-tickets-to-see ... e-o2-25853
maybe if they are still having trouble filling seats they will offer more than the 5 pairs that are to be won at the moment
