Fightmilk + Ten Things I Hate About You

#2023 Post by cliveas » Mon Jul 09, 2018 2:24 pm

Fightmilk + Ten Things I Hate About You
Genesis Cinema, 93-95 Mile End Road, London. E1 4UJ.
3 August at 19:45–22:45

Music & Movies: The Summer Season

Enjoy this summer the right way here at our air-conditioned Bar Paragon in the heart of Genesis Cinema with a series of amazing FREE live music and movie events. Delicious cocktails, ice cold craft beer and delectable dinner always available! We have selected a great group of artists to come along and play a set of their wonderful music and, while they're here, show you their favourite film too.

Start times: 7.45pm
Entry: FREE
Bar: 'Til late

Fightmilk formed in mid-2015, after a string of breakups, mundane jobs and Carly Rae Jepsen-soundtracked dance parties. Their songs are about crushing hard on the wrong people, turning self-pity into an artform, and living with your parents in your late twenties. They are based in London.
They make pop music because they aren’t clever enough for odd time signatures and unexpected chord changes, and not enough people are doing it anyway. You can dance to all of their songs apart from the slow ones, though they’d like you to try and dance to those too.
It’s pity party time.

"Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) is beautiful, smart and quite abrasive to most of her fellow teens, meaning that she doesn't attract many boys. Unfortunately for her younger sister, Bianca (Larisa Oleynik), house rules say that she can't date until Kat has a boyfriend, so strings are pulled to set the dour damsel up for a romance. Soon Kat crosses paths with handsome new arrival Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger). Will Kat let her guard down enough to fall for the effortlessly charming Patrick?"

Free Tickets for Nile Rodgers (Tonight) or Tom Jones (Friday) at Alnwick Castle

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... w/viewform

Thanks to EnricoK on HotUKDeals

Info from there -

'I received an email from Cuffe and Taylor (the promoter for these concerts) and they are giving away free guest list passes for these two concerts on a first come first served basis. I guess tickets haven't been selling well and they are a bit desperate.

The email links to a google docs form the enter details to get on the guest list - I've set this as the deal link. Tickets are guest list, so you will need ID to pick them up from the box office.

The normal price for tickets would be £35 for Nile Rodgers and £55 for Tom Jones.'
