Blindspotting
Nice little film about a black guy desperately trying to stay out of trouble in the last three days of his probationary period, for which I probably wasn't the right audience but I'm sure it will go down well in some American communities.
Greenwich PH had made us book tickets for this free members' preview with allocated seats, but upon arrival told us we could sit anywhere. So I bagged my favourite seat. Everyone was fine with it, but of course I would get the one person arriving at the last minute, who wasn't told, waving his smartphone in my face and demanding his seat. He settled for the seat next to me when I wasn't budging. What, you didn't think I'd give it up, did you?
7/10

Way to go, you the GOAT, maaaan. Did he call out the staff on you or just give up?Beate wrote:Nice little film about a black guy desperately trying to stay out of trouble in the last three days of his probationary period, for which I probably wasn't the right audience but I'm sure it will go down well in some American communities.

PS. GOAT = American slang for "greatest of all time".
Similar to UKers saying "you're a legend!"

Re: Blindspotting
He gave up surprisingly easily but if he hadn't I'd have called the staff to explain to him. In a way I get it. He thought he had his seat but then the cinema changed the goalposts. Not his fault, but not mine either. You snooze, you lose...
